Everything that is wrong with America can be traced back to the British

Yep. It's needed said for a long time, and I finally said it. I've seen America get blamed for all kind of things from the International front, and I am tired of it. IT ISN'T OUR FAULT. It is the Brits. They are the ones everyone needs to be yelling at. Not at us. After all, if they hadn't amounted to being a bunch of wusses, we'd still be an English colony. But no...instead of slapping down those pesky insurrectionists back in the old days, they ran off. Yes. History will show my argument is true. So from now on, I am not going to blame my politicians for everything that is wrong here...I am going to lay the blame on Britain. If they'd have taken care of what they started, instead of abandoning it... (Please adjust your monitor 'sarcasm' setting to 98% or higher when viewing this discussion. I know exactly what you're saying. The British have a lot to answer for where Australia is concerned too. They introduced the rabbit, fox, donkey, probably camel (not sure about that one) and stuffed up our environment something awful.

Indeed. They ran around changing the world, and then just up and left it. What kind of creators are they? Monsters, I say!

Why do we have to blame anyone for anything. Or maybe we should blame everything that is right on them as well.

@JolietJake Nothing to do with me. I'm from immigrant stock. One side of the family is a mix of people who came from France with William the Conqueror and some random Vikings and the other side is Huguenot with some Welsh blood. Never mind that the families have lived in England for the best part of a thousand years - we're immigrants (doubtless illegal and almost certainly 'from the wrong side of the bed')..

Well we could also blame Paul Revere. After all, had he not went through, hollering "The British Are Coming!" THEY (The Brits) might have stood a better chance.

HAHAHAHAHA I love the note at the end, we could also blame ship makers. No ships, no colonies.

JJ - You are so very wrong. These things are not the fault of the "Brits." Blame marsupials. They are so very devious - and they hide stuff in those pouch things. Bye-the-bye - One of my old bosses made it to Joliet. He taught me most of what I managed to learn. (I already understand that you could see that much right away.) Regards, Gus Kilthau

Yeah, they should of stayed where they were and left the poor Indian's along. My great great grandfather was Sioux indian. I was lucky to meet my great grandfather on one visit to the US for summer vacation. I think the Indian's had it right we would of had a better place to live if they were left in charge.

It may be sarcasm but you're mostly right...most international problems do have the English at the heart of them. I think the British could have won the revolutionary war I but maybe were just too stretched with things going on in Europe at the time. Apart from that you're right. Crisis in the middle east is essentially down to us. Tensions between India and pakistan are our fault and there are more things we are responsible for. The US should learn from our mistakes

It's like letting your baby take its first steps on its own. Eventually, you need to let go of her hand. Whether she walks all falls is totally up to the baby. You can still get back at the British by sending over Donald Trump. We (Australians) made our stance when we sent over Peter Andre. :-) After a failed attempt with Kylie Minogue.:-P
