~I Don't Want To Fight!~

Don't they get it? I don't want to fight! If only they wouldn't make me fight, I would be so much happier and so would they! But apparently it takes them longer to get it... My internet/phone bill just came in...the wrong charges...again! If only they would do their job, check the system and send the RIGHT bill we wouldn't have to keep doing this. We call and fight with them every month about what they told us the charges would be to begin with-they always end up changing the numbers once we call-but why can't they just charge the right amount? I am not being overcharged $50 this month-aint happening... If they just put the correct amount into the system they would never hear from me. But apparently they like to fight! Are there any companies you end up having to call EVERY month because they just cannot get it right? And no I don't actually fight with them-but we do have to tell them nicely that they don't know how to do their job correctly...

@GardenGerty I know, it's so annoying. Thank God I write down the persons name I spoke with the month before, the amount, the date, etc... And they end up changing it for us every month.

I agree with you. I don´t see why we have to PROVE that we owe less or that we have to pay more.

@marguicha Yeah, they should update it in their system and they wouldn't have this issue! But it comes down to laziness-which really annoys me.

I got my phone/internet bill. It was up by over $10. They did it just because they can. I don't get anything extra for the extra charges. I am aggravated. My income is dropping and all the bills are going up. I feel like fighting but I know they will win in the end. They always do.

@LovingMyBabies I just learned that my part time job is being slashed in half. Now I only get one day instead of two. The same day, I get this inflated phone/internet bill.

No only once in a while do I have to call and tell them I am being overcharged. If it happens month after month then you need to call and ask to speak with a supervisor and don't be very nice about it.

@Marcyaz Yeah we are going to have to stop being as nice as we were because this is crazy. One person doesn't update the charges into the system, then we call the next month and that person apparently doesn't put it into the system either! Ugh

Sounds like time to find a new company to do business with. I don't have this issue. I did when we had a cell phone for about three months in 2009. They promised me something and I made them stand up to it. I actually got the runaround and was told this certain 'manager' was on vacation. So, I waited until he was back and talked directly to him and got the amount he quoted me. I also have to fight when my kids are treat unjustly. They should know better cause them they have to deal with a mad grandma. Ugh!

@LovingMyBabies ....I made the manager responsible and tracked him down until I got satisfaction. I am just that way. If I feel an injustice has been done I will track them down to the ends of the earth.

@celticeagle Yeah, we might start looking into a new company. It is so annoying! I don't blame you for talking to a manager. We have spoken to one, they said they fixed the issue and that it wouldn't happen again...And here we go again anyway.

I had the same issue with my phone bill several years ago which i posted here on mylot. I think it was 5 or 6 years ago when i was charged $1,000 for a month.

I´ve had the same issue, not with the light bill, but with the bank statement. I have a credit card that shows me less balance than the real I should have. I still haven´t gone to the bank, expecting that on the next date, the real balance shows. If that does not happen, I´m going to have to spend some precious time, which I could be spending online, on this matter.

@quantum2020 I understand, if only they would do their jobs correctly we could all save our precious time! But they want to be lazy and then end up doing more work in the long run-seems silly to me.

I loved the last paragraph! Okay a question: Exactly how "nicely" you tell them? Yup we had this thing happened to us with a phone company too. On the third time it happened, we sent them packing and got the same service from someone else.

I understand that they are human and that computer glitches happen. I will only accept that for a while though. After it happening two or three times I will be finding a new company to service my needs even if it means having to pay more for better service.

Had the same problem with a phone company here, lasted almost 2 years with me complaining almost monthly,bills missing for months then when i get them, standing charges included what l had paid. Was a long fight,in the end i just canceled my contract
