The user 'following' 886,197 people!

Only older users will remember this user.
You became their 'friend' whether you wanted to or not...one day, they suddenly appeared on everyone's friend list.
Of course, I removed them from mine...back then, it was supposed to be that we had to approve friend requests, and I didn't want anyone 'shoved' on me, whether they were an 'official' part of myLot or not.
Yes, I was a cranky ol' (expletive deleted) even back then. 
I had kind of forgotten about their existence until I was looking at a 9 year old profile with absolutely no activity, but was 'following' one user, so I decide to see whom it was they were following...and there was old Sharon.
I know a lot of older members made quite a bit from the tasks Sharon used to offer, but I never was a 'task' kind of guy myself.
But that many followers...I am fairly certain that is the record here.
EDIT: Per topffer, I looked at it backwards...Sharon is following that many people...which shows how many requests she sent out

I never did any of her tasks (to tell the truth I never did more than a handful of tasks here), but I remember how popular she was. But... it is her that is following 886 197 members, and she has only 121 followers today : people are ungrateful.

I wish we could approve those who request to follow us. It should be our choice. SharonBucks was not one that I followed. Clearly one that is focused on the money aspect of it and not the social.

@JolietJake Maybe some of them were repeats in some way. For instance if you were starting over again even back then, then even though you're one member, would you show up on mylot stats as one member or the amount of persona's you've had through mylot time? If the former and if others did that too,then that would skewer the following counts. Otherwise, no clue.

Someone just made me think...how could Sharon follow that many people if the site only had 251,000 users as of April 2013? Kind of weird...

SharonGodess dont make discussions, she only makes offers and her offers are very lucrative to 3rd worlder like me. I managed to make 100 bucks from her tasks. Her tasks ranges from 2 dollars to 20 dollars, I use to do all of her tasks

Oddly enough, I just happened to peek at who you're following and she was listed at the top of your follower list. I wondered about that number, but it makes sense a bit more now. Were the tasks then similar to the offers now? I know of people here that have tried some of the offers since last fall but none that I know of amount to bothering with them at all.

@JolietJake Weird that they had to be the one to subsidize the tasks they made available. She either must have paid more than that or just had so many one could do that many took advantage of it. Someone or a few said that was the main way they made money here back then.

Back then, anyone could post 'tasks' as long as they put money (a minimum of $10) in an account held here to pay the people that completed the tasks. Most of them only paid a few cents each.

@Lucky15 Her tasks ranges from 2 dollars to 40 dollars. I do lots of her tasks back then. I write articles for her and she pays really well. I thought she was a Mylot employee but she is not. People dont know where she uses those articles but she really pays well.

MYlot have a different system back then. We dont have the following system in the past. We have friend approval back then. People wanted her to be a friend because she have those tasks that pays people lots of money. She pays people 2 to 40 us dollars to make articles for her. Her tasks were so easy to do.

but then I remember all the inappropriate ways I was trying to 'make money' 
I was feeling Nostalgic for 'my mid- to late-Twenties, back when I spent hours-&-hours working at "something like The Original Plan Here" ...

when old members say they earned a lot in the old mylot, maybe they can clarify if it's for forum activity or sharon bucks tasks, like is it 80-20, 60-40?

I wasn't here then, but it sounds like I may have missed an interesting source of income. I'm interested by the number of people she followed though, because I didn't realise myLot had that many members. I wonder how many of the people on her list are still active.

myLot actually had a quarter of a million 'registered' users in April 2013, but many of those accounts were not active, of course, and some were actually banned but still listed in the numbers...how they have that high of a number, I am really not sure

@Gina145 I've been 'sleuthing' a bit...before the changeover, in March of 2013 she had over 922,000 friends...after the change, when friends became followers and 'banned' account were purged from the rolls here, she had the 886,000+ as of May 7, 2013
