I do not want to see you around

No doubt you look pretty and when guests see you they appreciate you but they do not know the damage you are doing to my garden. I too agree with them. You do look pretty and that does not mean you should devour space and cover up here, there and every where. See what you have done to my crotons and other plants. You have choked them. I am warning you, please leave on your own else I shall have to get rid of you however painful it may be for me. I normally bring in the wild and I have several wild creepers and flowers in my garden. But those that do not behave I have to do what we do for weeds here. And by the way where is your mother root. That is what I will have to first look for. Any invaders in your garden?

oh dear :( yes ma'am, i've got virginia creeper, vinca minor 'n e'en wisteria that seems quite content to takin' the place o'er. that's what i've been workin' to tackle the past few weeks. there's no mother root here, they've rooted 'long their journey, hence there's hundreds'f diff'rent root systems. they'll choke the trees from sunlight if'n given free rein'f the place.

I really admire you that you know the names of your invaders. I thought wisteria was a beautiful creeper. I have that blue trumpet which again is beautiful but has invaded too.

@allknowing wisteria 'tis a beautiful vine 'n those blossoms quite intoxicatin' without bein' o'erbearin'. but, they'll twist solid steel, wood 'n whate'er else it can get a leave wrapped 'round. the hubs planted the invaders many years 'go. i've a trumpet vine that's slowly takin' o'er the far section'f my back yard. took 'bout 15 years fer the main plant to do well 'n now there's prolly 8 'r so vines comin' 'p where they aint 'pposed to be. like the veggie garden 'n the yard right next to the young'uns swing set. i'll be diggin' those'p 'n transferrin' 'em out'n the front where all else perished due to the drought. we'll see how they like growin' through caliche, lol.

I gave you 3 likes because my iPad froze. Lol! I weed every time I'm outdoors, wherever Doodles may be. It's like a jungle out there!

I have no other weeds as i get them pulled out but this one is really pretty. I have removed some of it but am serious about just planting it elsewhere and give it a nice place

@valmnz I do not think I will ever be able to find it. I will pull it out as and when it appears.

All sorts, large and small. Vigilance is required to keep weeds at bay, especially those that choke out our plantings.

Is it because you have no space or you have no interest? There is no such a thing like black thumb.

@just4him It has a lot do with the conditions that you are placed in rather than your beautiful black thumb. It will only turn black if you have hit it with a hammer (lol). When I say conditions it means not providing what a plant needs - good soil, just the right amount of water, good sunlight and so on.

@allknowing You haven't seen mine. When I lived on Guam they had yard of the month and my neighbors had beautiful yards with gorgeous flowers and plants. No matter how many flowers I planted, nothing grew. I couldn't even get a coconut tree to grow. So you see, my thumb is blacker than dirt. I can't grow anything. The only plants I have growing around my house, were put there by a friend. I had nothing to do with them, therefore they grow.

I don't have a garden so no invaders here. Seems as if you might have to get rid of that culprit

I am wondering if the Ivy I have is the same as the poison you are talking about. Ivy here is also an invader.

Common ivy, I have to remove this vine all the time, before it chokes the other plants.
