Our first real heatwave of the Spring

It was was hot yesterday (how hot was it?) that I actually agreed with my kid client when he suggested we not hike but do something indoors instead. We grabbed some Gatorade, went to Guitar Center, and had a great time. He focused on drums, uke, and "DJing," while I focused on guitars and keyboards. I'll attach a picture of the bike path yesterday, as seen from the window near my desk.

Yep, the heat is on. We're expected to be in the 100s by next week. Not lookin forward to that ..... the 90s are almost doable but now I wonder if I should get my airconditioner fixed.

Well, I don't have a pool but at least the outdoor spicket works and I love to let Ally get all wet which in turn get me wet when she shakes the water off @TheHorse dang dog always makes it a point to do that when I'm really close by ..... typical canine.

@rebelann I was given many a snot shower by my horse. It was cooling on hot Summer days. Pets know how to satisfy our needs.

I'd say get your AC fixed, unless you have access to a pool.

@celticeagle I don't mind the fact that Bosch's paintings are "distressing." It kind of matches my "shadow" side, the side I suppress.

I love Bosch's paintings. I can't believe they are from around 1500. Everything is so "futuristic."

Yes the weather has been hot for those who like it hot. Although I do like summertime and it is my favorite time of year, I don't care much for humid weather. I passed up going fishing because it was too hot to sit and swat off mosquitos.

@TheHorse better option! However, you could sit and talk while looking at the hoop.

I just talked to my kid client for later today. Even he agreed that it's too hot for hoops. We're going to go look for water.

It was hot here too, probably not as hot as your area, but I don't do good in the heat.

@CookieMonster46 Three kids joined us, and we made a "Kingdom" in the sand, with little rivers and such. Their mom finally came over, and she and I chatted. It was good.

My kid client and I found a cool spot at Lake Anza in the Berkeley Hills and cooled our feet in the water.

Sounds like he might have an interest in music, which is always a good thing.

That's my hope! I always expose kids to at least SOME music, just to see if it takes. If all children had some music education, would "rap" go away?

@TheHorse - When done right, like Public Enemy or NWA, I like it. Unfortunately, the insipid commercial stuff is here to stay.

@TheHorse Please be careful and drink lot's of water. Not trying to lecture-just don't want anything to happen because the heat is so dangerous.

I am glad you are spending time with the kid client. What is that awful picture you used? It is downright scary with eyes. unattached body parts, and people who look like they are in distress.

It's one of Bosch's paintings, but I'm not sure which one. His are some of the most distressing paintings ever, and they come from around 1500.

@TheHorse I am going to search him. Thanks. I just looked at some of his paintings after wading through Bosch dishwashers and other silly stuff. He must have had a demented mind, psychotic or something.

The only two hot days we had were the 29 and 30 of May, then thunderstorms and rain every day, it's a bit boring.
