Flying Saucer Crashes

This week is the 69th anniversary of something crashing on a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. It was either a flying disk as described by newspapers or it was a crashed weather balloon. It contained either crash dummies or otherworldly aliens who died. They woke the president up to tell him. I can imagine them saying, "Mr. President, wake up. A weather balloon crashed." I think they woke him to tell him about an alien ship crashing and bodies on the ground. What do you think? Were there aliens from space on that ship? Do you know any of them or are you related to any of them? Have a safe and happy July 4th but keep one eye on the sky.
The Crash Near Roswell An unidentified flying object crashed on a ranch northwest of Roswell, New Mexico, sometime during the first week of July 1947. Rancher W.W. “Mack” Brazel said later he found debris from the crash as he and the son of Floyd and Loret

I think that there is a lot that we do not know, my question is why to try to land in Roswell with all the beautiful places that there are on earth.

@akalinus I have visited New Mexico and it's a beautiful place, but not Roswell. I know that they crashed, but if it is true that they recovered the bodies, I suppose they were not too high in the sky.

I don't think they meant to land. They crashed. New Mexico can be a beautiful place.

I love your question. I want to say I am related to some of them. Now, that would explain some family things!

I read that it was experimental "spy" balloons disguised as weather balloons. They were actualy balloons designed to hover in the "sound channel," an altitude where sound travels faster and louder (I think) than at other altitudes. The idea was to monitor Russian activities, which was why it was "top secret." There is also an under water sound channel in the oceans.

@TheHorse Uhm... you laughed when someone told you that, didn't you, pony? Sound travels best through a solid object. Next best through liquid and worst through air...

The story has been changed a number of times over the years. One story was that the bodies were test dummies that had not been invented yet. There are tales of people threatened not to tell what they saw. There is no way to know the whole truth.

"Mr. President, wake up. A weather balloon crashed."-seems, how should I put this....implausible? It's the kind of excuse you expect from a grade 4 student saying the dog ate my homework-now of course, sometimes dogs to eat homework (I swear!), so who knows...but if I was Mr. President and someone woke me up for a balloon in the middle of nowhere...I'd be a little cranky;).

Me too. A weather balloon crashing is not something a president needs to know in the middle of the night. He can hear about it the next day, if at all.

They are not coming after me for sure. ISIS is going to prevent attack on me. ISIS and racially prejudiced folks, and the US army and the Chinese army, and the Pakistani army, and the Indian army and the Russian army and Boko Harem and North Koreans will get together to protect mankind and sharks from aliens...I sincerely believe unity in the world will come because of aliens. Long live aliens.

It would take a threat from beyond this world to get the leaders to agree on anything. One could only hope they would work together to defeat a common enemy, the invaders from space.

@akalinus I also remember a video known as alien interview. Where an alien collapsed in the end. Also there are multiple cases from people with encounters with the Men in Black as well.

I have seen some of it. It was supposedly sneaked out by someone using the name Victor. The media claims it was a faked video but why did they need child sized caskets?

I'm not so sure about that. Millions of future fighters are busy learning to shoot down invaders on video games right now.

I'd like to believe the alien story since it would be far more interesting If given two possible stories, I'd prefer the more interesting one :)
