What is it about small towns that bring out the best in me? I met with a few music friends in Paradise CA this past weekend. Paradise is a smallish town in the foothills of the High Sierra, up near Chico CA. We played a Saturday gig at a local antique store (yes, I checked out the wood tables, etc.) and spent all day yesterday just jamming and chatting in my friend's back yard. I didn't plant any seeds, didn't make any illegal u-turns, and only corrupted the mind of one small child. Heck, I even loaded up a piece of furniture for a couple of ladies at the antique store. There's something about small towns...

@Asylum Were you always bent this way? I mean your fabulously wicked sense of humor. Or was there some intervening event in your childhood that caused this?

Glad that you weren't arrested! Small towns are great. Been a member of the small town club for most of my life.

@ElusiveButterfly I love living OUT of a small town - but the small town is great when I go there. :)

Love being in small towns because people there can be very forgiving

I hope the "corruption" involved Lester and Earl's vast musical superiority to Justin and Miley......

I like em, I like to be near bigger towns for stuff to do, but I prefer living in a smaller one

I would prefer to live in a small town, but there are none on the coast of CA that are worth living in, or else they cost a fortune. Ventura would work for me, except that there is often mold in the air due to the agriculture and sea breeze. Allergic, bummer.

@TheHorse No, it isn't. But it is one of the happiest places in America (Read this in the book Thrive by Dan Buettner) And they have lots of farming in the area, which would cause the breathing problems that keep me inside.

I actually have a friend who lives in Paradise. She used to be active here. You know, you may have seen her!! I love that about myLot. You are a good guy to help load furniture. I could picture my sister asking someone to do that.
