Don't laugh too hard at the photo of our younger son. Don't run away either. He was drinking coconut water and used bits of coconut to create "teeth" and took this selfie when he parked his car. He is always making us laugh! Today he is driving my husband to the surgeon. His doctor called last Friday with the MRI results. It appears that my hubby will need neck surgery due to a narrowing of a vertebra that resulted in numbing at the tips of his fingers and toes and affect his gait. The CAT Scan results will also be examined for tissue damage. He will find out if there are options other than surgery. I expect a call from him after his visit. From there, they are catching a train to New York City. Our son's Father's Day gift was tickets to a NY Mets baseball game. I hope they can both have fun together under the circumstances. I plan to myLot and read today. I take solace from both.

Thanks about the photo. Unfortunately, the verdict is in. Surgery for spinal stenosis. The surgeon has to see him again next month. I'm so upset.

Spinal surgery is always so scary, I hope he won't need any at all. Well, you won't be bored if your son keeps sending those interesting selfies

@DianneN No that is not funny at all. My brother had micro surgery to repair a herniated disc about 17 years ago, and there have been so many advances since then, do you know how invasive a procedure this will be?

@Juliaacv The doctor wants to see him Monday. In the meantime, he has to decide which approach would be best. Going in from the front or back. I'm sick with worry and good for nothing. I have to visit the decorator later, and honestly, could care less. I haven't left my house since Sunday!

Hope all goes well at the surgeons office and that there is an alternative treatment to surgery. Lets Go Mets!! (I'm a big Mets fan) and I'm sure the Mets will win tonight since both your men will be there. Your son is funny with his coconut teeth as I was wondering what had happened
