A celebration of birthing

And why not? If we weren't born, we wouldn't be here.
And so today, we in the U.S.A. honor all those hard hours of labor that our Mother's put forth bearing us by celebrating Labor Day.
(I guess we don't celebrate Cesarean Day because the doctor does most of the work on those births)
Huh?? What??
Oh hell...sorry people, Scar just told me what an idiot I am.
This day isn't about birthing, but is a celebration of all the hours we spend working changing litter boxes.
My bad.

@jolietjake My daughter is due to deliver herself of a squealing child today. She planned it this way so that she would give birth on labour day.

Best wishes to your daughter (and anxious parents, of course). It has always puzzled me why Labor Day in the US is so arranged that it's a holiday, when no labour should be done! Maybe it's something to do with Mr Webster saying that "You is not involved!"

My young monkey, Mephistopheles, has, for his own reasons, decided that where humans go is where he should, too, and has twice left very smelly offerings in the bath upstairs. I presume that he figures that he can't balance on the edge of the seat, so the bath is the next best place. Full marks for intelligence and inventiveness but a big fail on what cats should do, from a human perspective. The question is, how do I teach him that it's NOT the right thing to do?

Maybe you could fill it with sand, and then put the litter box next to the bath, and then slowly remove sand from the bath day by day until only the box has any in it.
Just don't forget to put the stopper in first, if that gets down the drain you might plug it up.
Oh...and you might want to make arrangements with a neighbor to use their bath until the experiment is complete.

@JolietJake Sand in the bathtub doesn't sound like a good idea! Maybe I should tell the cat to use the neighbour's bathtub instead?

I'd rather have 2 Sundays in a row anyway, that means yesterday I didn't have to do laundry or anything like that since I had a second day to do it.

I thought about putting a candle in the litter box, but he quickly vetoed that idea

People seem to enjoy a bit of humor at times, although I have had some posts that I either said things wrong, or people just didn't get them. Glad you liked it.

its about all of us who worked a number years or are still working in the labor force.
Like a celebration of having a holiday before the kids go back to school to start another year.
My father when he was off on this holiday would go to over to his families for dinner. We all would go with him and boy was the food real good. There was even pie with ice cream or cool whip. I miss those days since now known of my family really get together anymore.

And Scar reminds you to maintain the labor at his behalf.
