Anchors Away

The boat has left the property and is on the way home to Georgia. The new owners paid for it last Sunday. Since they live a good 5-6 hours south of us they waited to get it until today because they were at an event a little west of us over the weekend. They were very pleased with it. They said they had looked at so many boats that were junk but the asking prices were high. They had just about given up finding a decent boat at a fair price - until I posted ours on Facebook last Sunday. We've been Facebook friends for about three years, so it was nice to meet finally. They are on their way home and I imagine the boat will be registered tomorrow morning and they will be out fishing in the afternoon. It served us well and we are glad it will get a lot of use and hopefully help catch them a lot of fish. Photo is mine.

Those lucky people. I'd love to have a way to catch fish. Yum! Glad both parties were happy with the sale.

@AbbyGreenhill ......Remember the saying "A watch pot never boils"? I bet if you get your mind off of it and are doing something else you find a pic next time you go on FB. I know that works for me.

@AbbyGreenhill I wonder if they are going to add a motor, rowing is a hard job.

It is a good boat, no leaks and it should last many many years if they take care of it.

@AbbyGreenhill That's terrible that your pond has gone, we used to go to the lake to fish and ski but as the kids grew up they had their friends to do things with. I think our boat is still sitting by the shed in my sons yard. It was a lot of fun for years.
