A working weekend for me

Due to illness of another employee at the store where I work, my five hour shift turned into seven hours yesterday, all but about twenty minutes on my feet. Today, I am scheduled for five hours, but that same ill employee is scheduled too, so who knows?
Tomorrow, the store hours are 11 to 4, so that day will be five hours for sure. I am not scheduled for a few days next week so can rest and catch up on myLot too.

No, just people, lol, we sell bird seed and feeders and things for people to feed birds in their yards.

I retired five years ago, but took this part-time job about a year ago in the bird seed and feeder store, usually just ten or fifteen hours a week. This weekend is a bit concentrated it seems, with 17 hours.

I'm stuck working all weekend too. The guy that works under me that usually covers weekends had to have the weekend off to attend a wedding in his family. It's been a busy couple of days for me!

@JamesHxstatic My "break" was going to be this evening, sitting in front of the tv at home watching the Florida Gators football game. Except that they're showing the game on ESPNU, which is a station I don't get! lol

You are lucky james at least you people can engage yourself even after retirement in your country. But here in our country it is tough as you know , I think.
