It's Time For A Sweater

After a warm start of autumn, last night, the temperature has plunged.
In many places in Switzerland the temperature has dropped below the 0 degrees Celsius (32 F).
We were a bit more lucky here in the south with 3 degrees Celsius (37 F).
Today is sunny, but the wind blows, shaking the leaves that are falling on the ground.
I am glad that I have already placed the leaves net over our pond.
I will remove it before the first snow, hoping that no more leaves will be on the trees by that time.
I took a photo of the vines covering the perimeter wall of one of our neighbor.
The colors under the sun looked beautiful.

Here in Florida, we have experienced a sudden drop in temperature, but it is a temporary affect of being hit by a hurricane! Just by the nature of how a hurricane circulates (counter-clockwise), it will suck colder air down from the norther to Florida. In looking at our forecast for the next several days, it appears our temperatures will drop about 20 degrees F (6-7 degrees C), which will be very nice since we haven't had much Autumn whether yet in Florida.

@moffittjc You are right, the media tend to exaggerate most events, except when we should have all the reason to be scared... like the upcoming US Presidential elections.

@LadyDuck I just wore a t-shirt, a sweater, and thick winter jacket today going to work. It is winter in Calgary, Alberta, Canada . . and it is snowing! I hate it coz it is still first week of October!

gorgeous pic! i fear that ours've yet to turn outside 'f a few. a cold front came haulin' 't full force last night. so much fer my sunny 'n warm days, lol. t'was only 36 degrees when i got 'p this mornin' 'n that wind chilled me to the bone. i believe we're 'pposed to be'n this system 'til monday? then back 'p to the low to mid 80's.

@LadyDuck chilly weekend here, but 'pposed to be back'n the 80's tomorrow 'n i believe most 'f the week. the poor horses dunno whether to grow their winter coats 'r shed :(

@sueznewz2 It's too early for winter, the next week the temperature should be in a range of 7 to 15 degrees Celsius, it's not too bad.

I love the look of your photo. Many leaves are falling here and they are still green. I suspect that it's because we had too much rain this year, even if they want to convince us that it has been a dry summer

Yes;I had experienced it a few years back.In 2019 the temperature drastically dropped down.We are expecting a very cold winter also.

Pretty! Well, for a few days, we had a sort of drop in temps - more in the evenings and the mornings that we needed a jacket. It was actually cold during those times, but still warm during the day. But now, today, we are back to hot. I walked out with a jacket this morning, but soon realized it wasn't necessary. So although it felt like autumn for a while - I think we are back to summer again.

As you know those kinds of things just do not grow here. I have no idea if you are aware that here in the southwest we usually only have 3 seasons but the only season that is long is our spring to summer, it can last until December in some years and winter here is seldom more than a 2 or 3 weeks between mid January and February and mostly it gets cold at night and the days are sometimes in the 50s and 60s. Deserts are strange that way.

Many of the military families that came from our eastern area say the same thing @LadyDuck Then when we are in our desert 'winter' mode they get confused because it can get down to 19f at night sometimes then bump up to 58f during the day.

OMG! Zero degree Celsius we will get freeze. yeah I here too experienced sudden change sometimes but here mostly the temperature drop to least 20 degree Celsius and below 20 degree very rare.

@silvermist We have big differences in temperature from one day to another. Even in winter, we can drop to -10 one day and if the day after the warm wind (called phoen) blows, we go up 15 degrees.
