Unfortunately this Caramel Sea Salt Cake Slice was a thumbs down for us!
I checked the expiration date prior to purchasing and the cake was good til a few days! However, the cake was very soggy at the bottom - it must be the moisture trapped in the packaging & being in the fridge section.
The topping was nice, rich with caramel and chocolate .. but toward the bottom was a no no, Mushy! We ended up eating the top portion of the cake only with tea!
Overall, not all desserts are good!
Have you ever had dessert that looked good but taste wise it wasn't up to your standards? It happens!!

Then again I also think those hyped stores know they are already popular - they don't put the same effort or quality into their foods anymore.

Sometimes the stores (desserts or not) are over hyped that when we go to try it out.. it isn't but even worth it!

Ohh I love desserts!! I'm a super sweet tooth but I don't like cream or frosting too.
This one is another story though if felt like a candy consistency not cream or frosting but it was good just the bottom of the cake was soggy!

yes the same had happened with me as well..recently i had a mixed fruit cake..it was tangy..may be because of the quality of the fruits in it..now i have promised myself not to order mixed fruit cake ever again

Oh my goodness yes! My daughter loves eggnog. One year we saw a eggnog cheese cake. She wanted it so we bought it. I never cared that much for eggnog but figured it couldn't be all bad. It was awful! We did try but could not eat it and had to throw it out .

Yes it has happened to me. I was craving something lemon so I was walking by this little bake shop and I seen this lemon square. Lemon is suppose to be tart. When I bit into it, it was way too sweet and tasted nothing like lemon should. I was so disappointed. I couldn't eat it. I had to throw it away. :(
