Photos Of Us As Children

Seeing some photos of me from my childhood now I’m in my twilight years (fifties) makes me think my parents probably took the photos just to embarrass me with them in later life.
I’m sure such images exist just for producing before boyfriends and girlfriends when we bring potential life-partners home to meet the family.
Here I look like the most pathetic junior cowboy ever though strangely I still remember that old rocking horse. I was blond then too - I look like a poster boy for the Hitler Youth.

i actually like this picture. you were a cute baby. i've never seen a rocking horse like that here (with a secure seat so the baby doesn't fall off if they let go) and i love your shoes!

I like looking through old photos. I looked through some old ones of my eldest son, because I wanted to embarrass him on his 17th birthday, and I'm sure that I only took one of them for the sole purpose of using it to embarrass him in later life. He'd have been a year and a half, maybe, and dressed all in blue denim - jeans and jacket - exactly as I was dressed holding him!

Oh, yes! Didn't you know, or perhaps you had forgotten, this is what parents do. I have one, not really my parents fault, that was my grade school annual picture. My aunt had decided to cut my bangs. Couldn't get them straight so when she got done they were about a half an inch long. So embarrassing! So, beleve me when I tell you, you aren't the only one!
