Photos Of Us As Children

Photo taken by my father – me as a toddler

Seeing some photos of me from my childhood now I’m in my twilight years (fifties) makes me think my parents probably took the photos just to embarrass me with them in later life. I’m sure such images exist just for producing before boyfriends and girlfriends when we bring potential life-partners home to meet the family. Here I look like the most pathetic junior cowboy ever though strangely I still remember that old rocking horse. I was blond then too - I look like a poster boy for the Hitler Youth. Arthur Chappell

My parents took one of me peeing in the baby bathtub when I was about 8 months old. I will attach a later one instead.

i actually like this picture. you were a cute baby. i've never seen a rocking horse like that here (with a secure seat so the baby doesn't fall off if they let go) and i love your shoes!

Some photos may seem pathetic, but I really love to watch photos from the period when my children where young. Those ones from my own childhood I specially like those where also my family is on them to remember how they were when younger.

I like looking through old photos. I looked through some old ones of my eldest son, because I wanted to embarrass him on his 17th birthday, and I'm sure that I only took one of them for the sole purpose of using it to embarrass him in later life. He'd have been a year and a half, maybe, and dressed all in blue denim - jeans and jacket - exactly as I was dressed holding him!

This does not look much different than your current photograph, except for the lack of beard.

Oh, yes! Didn't you know, or perhaps you had forgotten, this is what parents do. I have one, not really my parents fault, that was my grade school annual picture. My aunt had decided to cut my bangs. Couldn't get them straight so when she got done they were about a half an inch long. So embarrassing! So, beleve me when I tell you, you aren't the only one!
