Good morning.I have a few minutes here before leaving.
Why do people lie about their age? Many do and cannot figured why/
I can brag for I never lie about my age.Do female or male lie more about it.
Most people do lie.No I am not trying to push it.But why?
Are you so vain?does your age bother you?we cannot stay young forever as most people do.No I am not vain and never been.Never I said never lie about my age.Even when I met Mike he was much younger than it.As I told him the truth if this scared him away then let it be.But no.Love is more important than age.
I could go on and on and on and on.Your so Vain.

I don't think I ever lied about my age, no reason to. I proudly say I am 69 and counting. And That Carly Simon song is one of my favs.

@paigea that's hilarious. I was born in 1956, does that mean I'm 56?
Really I'm not that stupid. Once I had a customer at my store who told me she was probably a lot older than I was.....so we started....year of birth?....the same, month of birth?.....the same, date of birth?....I was two days older.

I don't know if I'm being vain or not, but I don't like the fact that I will turn 65 in 2017! I just don't feel it, other than the aches and pains. Other than that I am still 40 years old! So do you stay with the age in your head or the age of your body??

I've always been proud of my age, no matter what it was @amadeo . When I was in my late 40's, I even looked like I was only 29. Of course now at 65, I look like I'm 100. Oh well.....

@amadeo What is sad though is that if I go somewhere to eat, they don't need to ask me if I need the Senior Citizens Discount.

@amadeo They may have certain reasons for doing so. But I personally never lie to my friends here, especially to @princemaxp my best friend. But I have to confess, I made a lie about my age which is actually 2 years younger than displayed on my profile here. Oops! I hope he understands......

Never. One time it was my birthday, and a man at work asked me how old I was, perhaps fully expecting me to say something like "I'd like to keep it a secret," or "You don't ask a woman her age!" When I answered with no hesitation, he seemed surprised. I'm 31 now. When I was in my teens, I looked older than my age. These days I receive comments that I look younger. I

@amadeo Not sure what you mean with this comment and what I should accept. I clearly said I never lie about my age.

A lot of women lie about their age to get attention from men. They think there's something wrong with them because men aren't cat calling and approaching them. But, actually the reason is that men have more respect toward the older woman and may also feel intimidated. Oh and thanks to modern day American tv you can be 40 something er other and be mistaken as a teen/20 something. It's happened to me on numerous occasions. So lying about the age is pretty meaningless now.

How come only women are responding? I am vain too. Sometimes I lie about my age. I go in reverese though. I say I am older. Like last year I was 39 and a half and said I was 40. People would tell me I looked 39. So much for being vain for me at least.

I always tell people my age , Filipinos like to do a lot of age guessing it's probably a part of our culture and its like fun to us. Love that song, we use to have a 45 rpm record of that " they probably think the song is about them, don't they?"

@cacay1 think we do that all the time in this planet, if we guess lower we flatter and joke that you will get reward or a real reward, with a wrong high guess we are jokingly chased or hit
think this is peculiar to us, that's why it is fun in the Philippines

I don't think people are as bad as they used to be about telling their age. When I was young, some people, usually women, would never tell their age.

yeah. Most of the people lie and hide their actual age. I think this is a psychological problem. l too never hide about my age. People say that I am looking younger day by day . The only secret is I do take good care of my style which I never change.
