I feel for all of you folks in areas that are freezing cold. **they really need to add an imoji for freezing** Right now it's so warm here I am wearing a tank top and working on an outdoor project, it's wonderful out there By the week of Christmas we should be dipping down into the 50s once again ~~~ ummm I hope most of you know I am talking Fahrenheit not celsius ~~~ and then maybe in January we will actually get down into the 40s, I hope not but it will be winter here by then. So, with only 12 days left til Christmas does it mean this is the beginning of the 12 days of Christmas? That song has been stuck in my head cuz of some dang advert.

No, the 12 days of Christmas are NOT those before, but those after Christmas. These is the period from Christmas up to the Epiphany.

Well, at least it's mild for you, then again I wonder just how different your version of mild is. Mine would be around 18C if it were January, usually we are around 6c in January for at least a few days then it'll start climbing up again. So you're not ready to go back to Spain yet?

@rebelann we are supposed to get six inches when all is said and done. The panic some are showing, you'd think we were expecting six feet.

The only sun screen I ever use is a hat and a white shirt with long sleeves and a pair of capris, in winter I wear a warm hoodie with long sleeves and jeans if I go out into the cold that is.

Well, when I'm doing my yard work I really don't care much about attractiveness @Sasquatchy I'm not one for going to water parks, swimpools or places like that, too many people and I never did like crowds much.

It's the same weather here in Phoenix. I just can't get with the spirit of the season here. I was raised in the Midwest and spent most of my adult life here but I've always hated it. I like having 4 seasons. But a lot of people love warm weather all year so I guess that's what places like this are for!

I can barely recall 4 seasons, I was a child when dad was stationed in Germany then he stationed at Ft Bliss and he decided to stay. I was 10 so I'm used to this seasaw kinda season we get twice a year.

@rebelann Well fairly cold is the high 30's and low 40's. Above freezing is fairly cold. My son Anthony and his wife are stationed at Ft. Wainwright in Alaska. It has gotten down to -21 there. That is too darn cold for me.

Careful whatcha wish for, I did that once in 2006 and it was the first time El Paso ever got so much rain that we actually had floods. Now I always make it a point that when I'm wishing I decide just how much I really want or for how long.

@rebelann From the last of November to February,it is supposed to be winter but the average high temperature is 28 degrees-mostly warm.It rains rarely. This is due to the fact that Kerala is near equator .It is near to sea also. And sometimes the lower temp will be around 18 degrees. No snow here.

Las Cruses is pretty much the same as El Paso with perhaps a few degrees cooler than we'd get. I love Las Cruses and make it a point to travel there when ever I need stuff, I figure I only drive about 2ce a month so why not make it fun for self, right? Just think of the last 3 months as havin so much fun it flew by.

And that's why I like it here. Of course last year we did actually get snow so it's possible we won't see anymore for a couple years. I have to admit though that we could use the moisture, we don't get nearly as much rain as we need to sustain all the people and wildlife here.
