I Shall Have to Hide Them

I baked a batch of cookies with a new recipe today. I shall have to hide them before hubby makes himself sick.
They are called buckeye brownies, and are made with a brownie mix.
The boxed mix is stirred up with butter, cream cheese and an egg. Those are made into balls and flattened with a thumbprint in the middle. In that thumbprint is added a small ball of sweetened peanut butter. After the cookies are baked and cooled a dab of frosting goes on top, chocolate, of course.'
It is a very rich and delicious recipe. Messier than I like to deal with but a real hit with my husband. They are going into the freezer.

Oh go on. Let him eat a few its a treat go on. You know you will give in and give him some. I always give in and he ends up eating all the favourite ones I buy. I say to myself I will hide them but they always find their way into his hands.

If he eats too many it does upset his stomach. He knows where they are and we pack one or two in the lunch box at a time.

As long as he can get one or two then he should be okay. That must be a real treat then if he wants to eat a lot of them. They sound very good.

I would love to package up lots of goodies in small portions for hubby as he can afford the weight and the calories. He is very active.

I will take these to my brother's home for Christmas. If I make them again I will package them up in groups of two or three for my husband's lunch and have an occasional one as a dessert. The outstanding thing is that they are very satisfying and you feel you have had a real dessert with even just one..

Our friend here, @marsha32 makes cake mix cookies. I know I have the recipe somewhere. These were extra special, a bit sloppy and sticky to make. . . I need a dough scoop to portion them perfectly.
