To Many Cookies

This Christmas I decided to make cookies for the entire family. I am giving cookies to each sister and brother. As well I am giving cookies to my sister's grown children's family and a separate batch to each of those grown children's kids. Did you get all that? I think I may have confused myself as well.
So I haven't been around on mylot the past 3 days much as all I have done is bake cookies. I made 10 dozen chocolate chips, 5 dozen butterscotch chips, 8 dozen peanut butter 3 of those dozen with Hershey Kisses on them, and 5 dozen oatmeal with chocolate chips, raisins, and walnuts. That's 28 dozen so far. I am making about 5 dozen sugar cookies cut into Christmas shapes and decorated tomorrow and then I will be done thank goodness. I am pretty much cookied out. Then on Friday I am going to do a bit of grocery shopping and then sit on my behind until Saturday afternoon when the whole family will come to my house for Christmas Eve.
Whew I am just beat.

Good grief, that's exhausting ...... now I need a coffee break. 
I've never made cookies but if I did I'd want to make the shortbread cookies, I do like those once in a while around this time of year.

I am pretty darn sick of cookies I can tell you lol. My fav are the sugar cookies but the hardest on my back to make as I have to roll them out cut them with cookie cutters bake them and then decorate them after they are baked. So I bake those tomorrow.

@fishtiger58 We are going to have them with the coffee in the morning. I know that usually nobody wants a cookie after the Christmas lunch, only a small slice of Panettone to respect the tradition and sometimes a lemon sorbet because it's fresh.

Wow! Close to 30 dozen cookies! And I used to think we baked a lot of cookies at Christmas, but we never made more than 10 dozen or so on any given year! That's a lot of cookies! I don't know about you, but I used to love making Christmas cookies, because my wife and I would get the kids involved in helping, so it was a total family affair. We sure made a big mess, and the cookies sometimes didn't turn out as pretty as we would have liked, but we sure had fun making them!

When my sons were young yes we all cooked and decorated the cookies. I gave about 15 dozen to my extended family.

@fishtiger58 You truly lucked out there! I would croak if I had to bake all those cookies. As it is, I have to make meatballs for the freezer, and that's overwhelming to me! Bless you! Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family!

Oh my gosh! I bet your home smells super good =) All the neighbors are probably jelly! Lots of baking there, I would be eating them while I bake (if I ever bake)

I think I made 6 batches of different cookies, all my kids got tins and there is one big one here at the house that is almost empty now at New Years...It didn't take me long at all, the favorites are easy...and fast. You made a lot more than I ever want to make!!!

Wow you are ambitious! The only thing I am making is a nutella ring, and I think after Christmas I am going to make some Andes Candies cookies.

We do a grab bag because we would all go broke buying for everyone. But this year I wanted to give everyone cookies. But I am beat, I have one more batch to bake tomorrow and then I'm done and I can't wait to be done. I have been enjoying he warm cookies however
