Got the Blues

It has been more than six weeks that we have been having car issues and we are not getting any closer to having them done with. I have the blues. I have not finished a lot of the stuff I wanted to do on break and I feel stressed. Tomorrow is the first day back at work and the supervisor e mailed with schedule changes for all of us. I am just stressed I guess. It is not unusual for people to have a let down this time of year, I will get by, I know. I see other friends who are having some issues as well. We are not alone. Many good things too, so I can just make up my mind to cheer up and get on with it.

Part of the issue is that I ate wrong. I also do not do change well and I HATE not being in control. In the whole scheme of things the car issue is just an inconvenience. It helps to have a place to sound off.

@GardenGerty If our car had issues it would be a huge disaster. I hate not being in control also.

Be kind to yourself and don't over do. This will help you through.

Being able to come to myLot and yack about it helps. I also should have eaten better for supper, but did not. I am chewing on some homemade jerky right now and will shower and head off to bed. I really hate not being in control of things.

This kind of weather brings everyone down. I've been feeling it too although there's nothing major going on to cause it. Just the weather and lack of sunlight.

Because of the car issue and because hubby has spent every free moment trying to fix it I have been a bit cooped up. It will get better, I know.

@GardenGerty yes being cooped up doesn't help at all. I've been feeling the same because there's not much to do and we don't have spending money.

oh Heather, I'm so sorry. Yes, I know a lot of people who are down right now. But that doesn't help you at all, does it? Maybe getting back to work will at least keep your mind busy so you can't think about things. I hope something wonderful happens for you soon to cheer you right out of the blues!

Having a place to sound off helps. Basically this is and has been an inconvenience. I look around the web and see real problems and I need to just suck it up. It will be okay. I also need to eat real food for supper and not just a dessert.

@GardenGerty I heard just the other day that one of the major problems of the internet is the fact that we see how other people live and we often compare our lives with theirs, and that often causes depression. I've caught myself doing the same thing sometimes, but I've stopped. And yes, go for the real food. Get real vegetables and fruit even if you don't feel like it. I've been doing exactly the same thing lately and I feel so much better physically and mentally. It's not easy and some days you get down just because. The good news is that feeling down never lasts forever.

This is a tough time of year for so many people. I go back to work tomorrow. Car troubles can be very frustrating and expensive. Hang in there.

In the big scheme of things our car troubles are mostly an inconvenience. I have been in a worse situation with small children, years ago. I go back to work tomorrow too.

Feelings vary at the beginning of a new year. Some people start off positive and full of energy, while others get int the swing of things a bit later - just take it one day at a time.

Ongoing car problems can be very worrying I think. I'm sure there is often a reaction after Christmas. Hope you bounce back soon.

If your car is broken just take it to mechanic.
