Not Just a Part

I just answered a comment about church being a part of my life. Like so many other parts of my life, that of being a mother, grandmother, author, and Christian. I just can't put being a Christian and going to church as just a part of who I am. It is in fact who I am, not just part of it.
I can't separate being a Christian and going to church into a part of me. I am a Christian and mother. I am a Christian and grandmother. I am a Christian author. Everything I do, everything I am, is all about who I am in Jesus Christ. I am a Christian first. It isn't part of who I am. It IS who I am.
Going to church is also important to me because I'm a Christian and I love God very much. If church was open every day, I would be there every day. We do have Wednesday night services, but right now I'm unable to attend because I have a lot of trouble seeing at night with my cataracts. So I wait patiently for the daylight hours to extend themselves long enough for me to get to church and home safely.
What defines you? What makes you the person you are? That isn't a part of you. It is you.
I am not ashamed of who I am. Not even in part. I am who I am because of the person who made me - Jesus Christ, my Savior, my King, and my God.
Thanks for reading.

I am a person with a soul and am not a christian. I question the bible and how it is taught in most churches. I believe there is a higher being just not necessarily God. I am not ashamed of who I am or what I believe.

I am a believer, although I do not attend church services for reasons I will not say. I do have discussions with people about faith. I do not push that belief on others, I just tell them that I am and leave it at that.
My purpose is to care for those who can't care for themselves. It is one I enjoy. Wish there were more hours in a day so I could be with those I love most.

If it weren't for these cataracts I can't get surgery for until they are bad enough, I would be going to church at night as well. I have never let anything hold me back from it before. But I have no control over my eyes. So I wait.
I'm glad you have a ride to church.

I respect you Valerie. I am also proud of who I am. I was born Jewish and always loved being Jewish, but, had a time where I was rebellious. I did not realize how much being Jewish is a part of me till I came to live in Israel and began my journey.

That's great! I think most people go through periods of rebellion.
