It is going to be a good day

The temperatures are rising and we have no cold fronts predicted for a couple of days. Yesterday we had very blustery winds.
I got my heating bill, needless to say we will turn the furnaces down. We are gone a lot, no point in overheating the place.
The sun is not up yet, but will be very soon.
It is a work day, so soon I will be out the door. My image is one from last year at this time.
We will have salmon, salad, green beans and a potato tonight. When I plan ahead it is easy to avoid eating out.
Ride sharing, but that is okay.
I will see you this afternoon.

I have pondered doing that, and then having a small energy efficient heater just for the room I spend time in, close off the doors, and let the house be in the 50s.

I think we need to save where ever possible. We have some space heaters, a heated mattress pad, and even a heated foot warmer I use at my desk. The bathrooms have electric wall heaters and that works well.

@GardenGerty well I know some of the newer space heaters use less power, and the house could indeed be a ton cooler, if you could keep where you were at from being miserable.

Sounds like a good supper and it does cut down on the desire to go out when you're prepared.

When we sit down to a home cooked meal we are always more satisfied.

@GardenGerty True but I love to go out now and then to get a break form cooking too!

We don't heat any areas not used. Some we know set the temperature to their favorite setting and just leave it there! Not happening here.

These wall furnaces do not seem very responsive to thermostats. I do have to get down and just shut them off. Hubby was wondering if keeping the house warmer would help my fibromyalgia, but to me, it does not seem to.

We have been on a warming trend for three days, but on Thursday things are supposed to go down hill fast.

@GardenGerty It's less cold today, but the snow that is on the ground has turned into ice.

It is actually faster than "fast food" when I plan ahead, because we have quite a drive to get anywhere to eat.

I'm staying in until later this afternoon when I get to pick my granddaughter up from school. Tomorrow morning I will need to listen to the radio to see if the busses are running. The little miss is having a sleepover tonight and there is a winter storm expected to cross the area in the night. The wind direction will affect just how much snow we can exp ct.

It was very tasty. I used a little lemon pepper seasoning and parmesan.
