Usually on the weekends - the grocery store I shop at (Whole Foods), will have samples.
Whenever I'm at the deli, while waiting to place my order - I'd peek and see what's the sample of the cheeses. This past weekend, it was Australian Sharp Cheddar! Very delicious. I took a picture so I can remember it next time and will purchase in the future.
There are so many cheese selections available here.

@infatuatedbby I don't think I've seen it but there are available brands. I buy a local one. I'll look for Murray Bridge next time I go shopping.

We have Cheddar Cheese also in supermarkets , but none from Australia . I am not much of a cheese person though.
Here , we only have about 3 kinds of local cheeses in supermarkets . One posh mall has a store that sells imported cheese of different kinds . And it can go as high as 200 pesos or $4 for only 10 grams .

I am a huge cheese person! I love all sorts of cheese but so far not goat cheese =)
There are a lot of cheese and they can be quite pricey! The most I've bought was brie that was $23 a lb I think.

I don't hang out at the deli - that's my husband's job. He usually leaves that area full!

@infatuatedbby I do the rest of the store while he stuffs his face at the deli - which by the way is the size of a small closet!

Usually, cheddar is a darker orange in color. That Australian cheese almost looks to be the color of Swiss or provolone! Have you had other types of sharp cheddar to compare with the Australian kind? I was wondering how it tasted compared to other types of sharp cheddar.

@moffittjc I do like harder cheeses too =) Colby is alright! I do like some soft cheeses like brie. I like a lot but have a hard time remembering the names so I snap photos now and sometimes I can't pronounce the type of cheese too! =P

@infatuatedbby Colby is my favorite, followed by Pepper Jack and then Sharp Cheddar. But I do like to sample different types of cheese every time I'm at the deli counter at the grocery store, so I've found some pretty tasty cheeses over the years, although I can't always remember the names of the cheeses. Generally, I like the harder cheeses better than the softer cheeses, but I've enjoyed great ones of all varieties.

When I was holidaying in the US every mall that I visited had food samples. I was told some go to these malls not to shop but to have their fill,

This is a very good promotion method. I hope that the supermarkets or stores will consider it. Here you can get the sample food from the promotional person, but it is just a little bit only. The sample food like your attachment is not available.

Cheese really costs a lot at Whole Foods. I don't buy it there. Wegmans where I like to shop has a fantastic cheese section but it is expensive there as well. I usually stick with cheddar of some kind..but I do like different types of cheeses, including soft cheese.
