Many here know that @marsha32 makes quilts, among other things. The photo here is of one we just received, which was purchased from her Etsy shop. We don't have an Etsy shop at the moment but do find it a fun place to view what others have to offer. Have you purchased anything from an online shop that offers handmade items like this?

The quilt is beautiful. @marsha32 does such a good job. I have bought a few things from Etsy stores in the past. Most have been stickers and such for my planner.

@PatZAnthony Yes definitely, I think it's something I'd lay on my bed in the springtime. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? (including shipping). I took a quick look on etsy and it seems that a lot of quilts are around the $500.00 mark.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Marsha does not charge those higher prices, but it makes sense that some do b/c of the labor involved. Will PM you some details.

We spotted a few at the local Hospice, but they were in such sad condition. Really wanted one new for someone and thankfully, @marsha32 to the rescue!

@PatZAnthony A quilt is a lot of work. Worth the price that you pay for them.

The quilt is absolutely gorgeous! I have never purchased any handmade items online. I prefer to make them on my own.

@PatZAnthony the one thing I couldn't do, or should I say, just don't want to do, is make a quilt. I am such a perfectionist that it would take years to make one. I have made a few in the past and because the corners did not match I was unhappy with the finished product.

Not enough talent-or maybe it is a time thing, to get this done here!

I have ordered handmade stuff off the internet before. My last thing was two mermaid tail blankets.

I do not have a shop. I wish I worked as hard at crafting as Marsha does.

Thank you for writing a post featuring the quilt you bought from me. I did forget to get to telling you that the sleeve on the back is easily removed. It was on there from when I had it in the quilt show so it could be hung.

I've never purchased anything from Etsy but I've thought about starting a shop if I get time. I've been getting into crafting a lot. :-)

After thinking about starting an Etsy shop, I'm still not sure if it is right for me. If you do it, let us know how it works.

That's so cool! I have purchased a couple things from another mylotter's etsy shop. One was a crocheted purse made from plastic bags.
