More Americans are killed by AMERICANS than by any other nationality

So to REALLY protect the country, shouldn't President Trump (I hate having to say those two words together) be banning Americans from America?
Think about it.
The odds of being murdered in America by the 'average citizen' are 1 in 18,989.
The odds of being killed by a tourist are 1 in 3.9 million.
By a refugee terrorist ? 1 in 3.64 billion.
And I am not making those numbers up...feel free to search the web for results yourself.
I couldn't find the odds of being killed by Donald Trump
But it is pretty easily seen that the real danger to you (if you are an American) probably lives next door and not across the ocean.

You all need a medical discovery to decide which physiological condition may be declared as senility and senile folks should not be eligible to become the presidents of a nation, and if they do, they should be forced to step down on medical grounds...seriously there must be some protocol on that...

@vandana7 There would need to be proof first, and several officials would have to come forth to have a hearing initiated

There is a protocol in place to remove him if it can be proved he is not in complete control of his mental faculties

Based on those statistics I reckon Trump should just declare an open border policy and let everyone in,seeing how that has worked out so well for the European countries whose leaders have done just that!! xx

I have no problem with vetting, but Trump is a damned fool the way he is doing this

@JolietJake I reckon hrs doing this until proper vetting can be done. In 2011 Obama did this with Iraq immigration no one even bat so much an eye,of course that's different I suppose!!

@Dnuobrats Trump already discussed setting up safe zones for those affected by the ongoing conflicts in the area with other key middle Eastern states. This should have been done years ago but was not. Having these people so far from their home country trying to bring such a huge flux into western society is a recipe for disaster. There are already big players agreeing to worj with Trump in this.. So we can only wait and see.. xx

My sister posted those statistics yesterday and it just about sums up what an absolutely idiotic idea your president had when implementing that ban last week. He is playing with fire

Meanwhile, a cat is 345,000,000,000 times more likely to be killed by Scar than a raccoon. I was just letting him out and he flew off the porch and hit the end of his lead and the stray cat took off...fast.
Glad he didn't break loose, I hate trying to find him in the dark.

Oh my! Hopefully he will never break that lead, though he would return for sure as he knows where his food is, unless of course he came to some harm

I already read the same kind of statistics for Europe. Banning refugees fleeing a country in war to save their lives does not make America looking great... Maybe people should remember that some great Americans have/had Syrian origins : Steve Jobs had a Syrian father, Jerry Seinfeld has a Syrian mother, Shannon Elizabeth a Syrian father, etc.

As usual, they are using 'scare tactics' to promote their agenda...and most people never bother to look at the bigger picture.

@JolietJake I see this ban of 7 countries like a test to see how far they could go. Seeing how it is unwelcomed everywhere it will not last more than 90 days.

Please feel free to refer to the current occupant of the Oval Office by his "alternate" moniker, The Exalted Orange One. Everyone will know to whom you are referring.
Also, I just learned that if your single and over 50, you're more likely to get married than be killed by a terrorist. Why anyone thought to determine that, I have no idea.

Exactly...do people really think that the killing is going to stop if they ban refugees? I keep hearing that he is protecting the citizens of your country by banning refugees and building a wall. That won't stop anything.

I blocked someone on facebook yesterday, I made the comment that nothing is to stop them from lying and saying they are Christians to gain entry and he said 'A Muslim would never lie about not being a Muslim'...there's no sense to even waste my time trying to argue with someone like that.

I don't think there's enough data to give odds on being killed by Trump yet. Give it time. (I couldn't find any odds on him being assassinated, at least from a bookie, but it turns out that they've been turning away bets on this, considering it a potential PR problem.)

I think the odds are running pretty high that there will be at least an attempt to injure him

The odd of having one terrorist from the 7 countries to come and kill an American in America is practically zero.
It has not happened in the past 40 years, and not likely to happen until Trump imposes travel ban.
it sure is an insult to those countries who want peaceful relationship with US.
Trump dare not widen the ban to those Muslim countries where he has his businesses.
He knows that he will hurt his own businesses if he does that, so he chooses those countries where he does not have any asset.

it's like the whole killed in a plane crash vs a car crash, planes SEEM more dangerous, but the odds are worse in a car

I can definitely agree that we are at much higher risks of being killed by other fellow americans for sure. The wall and ban to me just doesn't sit well..It's not what this country is about. I didn't vote for this dude and have been trying to trust his judgement since the election but I become more uncomfortable as time goes on. Whether it's for 90 days or 6 months, it doesn't seem right to me.
