Why doesn't Trump ban THESE countries?

I can't speak for anyone except myself.
But right here is one of the main reasons I have for disagreeing with the President's actions recently.
His order makes a direct reference to the 9/11 tragedy.
And then his order does NOT include the countries that the people (hijackers) responsible for this came from.
Not a single person came from any of the 7 countries affected by Trump's order.
That is a fact.
Instead, he tries to twist and distort the TRUTH to supplement what he wants.
Sorry Donny...but I hate liars.

The saudi question.
You get between 11 and 15% of your oil from saudi arabia...a not small amount but less than I thought...you could get more from canada or south america to make up for it.
Saudi is the country that buys the most american military hardware in the world.

Iraq's in the top ten buyers too which is a bit of a thorn in the side of my theory

It is not completely true, as a large part of terrorists we had in Europe had spent some time with ISIS in Syria and Iraq, even if they were not born there. There are a lot of Europeans and even some Americans in the ISIS ranks, and because they are not all identified the Trump's ban is completely illusory. He would have liked to have some terrorist attacks targeting USA that he could not have done better.

Because he has investments in Saudi and Egypt.

This is the problem of getting a billionaire to become the President, and he is concerned with enriching himself, and making the poor and middle class pay for whatever he wants to do (eg building the silly wall)
Green card holders from Iraq are barred. Trump’s business partner from Dubai is not.

I agree with you one percent. My dad said last night, he's getting the things done the wrong way. He's going to anger a lot of people and run this country to the ground. If I had a crystal ball, if he ran for re-election, he would lose hands down. Too bad we can't impeach him now...

NO, we don't have to stick with him. HOPEFULLY we'll get rid of him one way or another sooner rather than later because there is NO "good side" of him. Nearly 7 months have passed since this discussion was started and he's only gotten worse and worse.

I have become thoroughly disgusted with one user here that whines all the time about how unfair everyone is to Trump when all he did beforehand was complain about Obama. The final straw came today when I said 'The Democrats are only doing to Trump what the Republicans did to Obama for 8 years' and he said that was a patent falsehood.

He is a liar and aways has been. I know what you mean. Saudi Arabia was not on the list. And that is the main country where most terrorists come from. He has dealings with that country. Personal dealings. And he will not go against any country he does business with. Which is not good for america. He is destroying this country quickly. And things are only going to get worse.

The whole Travel Ban, as the press has taken to calling it, was to appease The Exalted Orange One's alt-right wing base. TEOO knew it would be challenged in court and ultimately overturned, but he can say he tried and those horrible judges and Congress took it away.
