Why do some people ask the same question multiple times?

Do they think facts will change so they'll maybe get a different answer for it?
Not singling anyone out, but I will sometimes see a discussion started...that gets many responses...and the OP comments, so they read the responses...and then later, in a few days or a week, I will see that same person asking that same question to someone else in a comment somewhere else.
Just as an example, I think if you ask 'Is water wet?' and you get 20 responses telling you it is, then water is still going to be wet a week later (unless it evaporated
).
While it is true that circumstances (therefore answers) can change in some instances, most of the time, the answer is always the same answer.
No matter how many times you ask the question.

@JolietJake I read that good copiers where programed to not do copies of money bills since several years. Maybe it is a fake news

I was going to write an extremely witty comment but I already forgot what your response was.

If it earned responses for them once, it should work again, right? Or maybe it is some kind of symptom of dementia or memory loss.

@JolietJake Do you use paypal?
What has your experience been with paypal?
What are your earnings so far this month?
Can I quit my job and just mylot and make ends meet?
What is that $ sign on either side of mylot at the top of the screen?
Does that mean we've all been paid, because I was?

I have noticed that too when going through discussions. Not sure why they do it. Another thing is when somebody ask a question and then somebody turns around and ask the same question a few discussions later.

There used to be policies against 'stealing' topics and also against posting discussions answered on the FAQ or guideline pages, but it seems to be anything goes these days

Maybe they have a learning disability. My daughter does and you have to tell them things over and over.

But really why do people ask the same question multiple times? Can you help me understand why the same question is being asked again and again? Why do you think that one question is asked repeatedly. Errr... do you know the answer?

@JolietJake now you are giving me an idea on a new topic... do you know why the answer to one question even when asked differently is always the same?

The responses and your answers will only make someone ask the same questions again.

I hope I've not been guilty of this.
Don’t you think members might just reason alike sometimes?
I think mylot can delete post that look exactly the same.
I have a suggestion, let's make use of the search button before we post, this is to confirm the autencity of the post if no one has posted the same thing before.
