Do you get involved in squabbles here?

I always said I would never get involved in online squabbles but I have from time to time when I feel strongly about something, not here as I haven't been here long enough and would probably get stamped on. There have been times on other forums where I have been a member for a while when I have become annoyed and said what I thought, usually when I am defending the actual forum against someone who bad mouths it or maybe I will stick up for another member. Do you speak your mind if you disagree with someone or would you rather keep quiet?

Not so much squabbles, I've been involved in some knock down drag out fights on here That was on old mylot though...on new mylot admin is more active and stops things before they escalate If I said what I really think, even in polite terms, I'd be blocked by a number of people...currently I'm just blocked by absolute idiots

I prefer not to get into arguments, some people easily get offended and they become rude. If I strongly disagree with what someone writes, I skip the discussion.

@CoralLevang Yes I got involved in one on Chatabout that I wished I hadn't. It was just horrible and got deleted in the end.

I do stand up. I hate squabbles. I think I have this huge ego. I think I might be able to word the situation in a way that others understand and peace will prevail. I try. I often fail. In fact, I fail most of the time. Yet, I don't give up. Stupid me.

@CoralLevang ...That last sentence is so profound, in war no one wins...neither the warring parties nor the spectators. Everybody carries a hurt somewhere..for some it may be visual for others it may be physical. And for many it is emotional. :( I sometimes think I should be like Pony. :) I wish I could be as mature and dignified like him. :)

I deleted the original post, Sprite. I had to or your discussion could have been deleted. We are not allowed to talk about other myLotters. That is grounds for deletion. I do know you would have stuck up for me had you been here. @vandana7 I am sorry your comment was deleted with mine. I replied to your comment then realized mine had to go to keep from taking a chance that Sprite's discussion would be deleted. I will pm you.

I prefer not to. If I don't like something I would leave and stay away. However, there were times when I need to stand up and reply back, I would still do it.

I generally like peace. That's one reason I like this site. It doesn't tolerate meanness. On other sites, I will speak my mind as diplomatically as possible when I strongly disagree with someone. Mostly, though, I try to maintain peace.

The only real squabbles I have noticed on here have mainly been political (yes, about that man Trump) and I have not been keen to jump in.

If it's a total stranger, I try not to get into an argument and just let it slide. I will give my opinion if it's someone I interact with, but usually I don't waste my energy on someone who I don't know and is so entrenched in their opinion that I'm unlikely to change their mind. For example, I don't even bother with the pro-Trump people.

Me neither Kelli. I really dislike the man and it's not worth getting into disputes about him. The UK feels as strongly as you do (well some of us) and we worry because it affects all of us not just you guys. However I guess we're all entitled to our opinion.

What did you say, Kelli? There are actually people on myLot who are PRO-Trump? OMG! I can't believe myLot allows them to be here at all! (grinning and teasing you!) Just so you realize, I voted for Hillary, you know, the real President! I don't fight the po-Trump people, either. I just thought you needed something to grin about! Welcome to myLot! It is my pleasure to welcome you to this site! I do hope you are having a blast talking to different people here while you earn your pennies! If there is anything you need, please feel free to call on me at any time! Have a great day!
