I haven't done my homework

Tomorrow our writing group meets and I haven't done my homework. We meet fortnightly and at the last meeting we all put forward a word which is supposed to be incorporated into a story for tomorrow. I managed to get the first sentence done but then decided I'd rather myLot. Now I feel like a naughty schoolgirl.
Here are the words that we need to use. Downhill, exfoliate, oblique, preposterous, potato, academy, moon, yacht, imagine, glaring, help. Some are very difficult to include. At least I've found it so.
I don't suppose anyone wants to write me a story before tomorrow, do they, using those words? It would be really appreciated.
The photo is of me with my brother before I became a school-girl.

Things went downhill with our relationship ever since he saw me exfoliate, even though it was only an oblique glimpse in the mirror by moonlight. We first met on a yacht at the sailing academy and I imagined we were kindred spirits but that was preposterous as it soon became glaringly obvious he was really a couch potato and needed help.

I bow before you!!
Wow, am I impressed!! Can you catch the next flight?
Well, it doesn't seem so hard now. Well done.
. I will read this out and give you full credit. I'll have to assume you don't mind unless you can get back to me in the next 6 hours.

Would you imagine that, while I was occupied to exfoliate a potato, she asked, with an oblique blink of an eye, my help for a homework at her writing academy ?
Glaring at her, I stated that I would be on a downhill slope if she was thinking that I would leave my potato peeling on the deck of my yacht under a romantic moon for such a preposterous proposal.

Another one!! And you have shamed me! I see you've seen Fleur's.
I shall have to stop complaining and get my butt into gear. I'll take yours to my group too if that's okay. I'm just starting at the top of the comments. Maybe there are more lovely stories to come. In due course I'll let you know the homework for the next meeting.

That's a really kool photo and the pony you're on is awesome, I hope you still have it.
I can give you a oneliner with Potato, if that's any help: And so after a very busy day we had a potato stew.
Hey, I never said I was a writer ya know.

I can't imagine how we came to have such a toy as there was really no money for frivolities. I would rock that pony so hard the whole thing would bounce across the wooden verandah. And three people have given me great stories so I'll forgive you for your lack of help.

Don't help me downhill you helpless loon.
How preposterous do you think I am?
I can easily make my way to the moon,
on a yacht made of potatoes and sand.
Imagine me oblique and shiny tonight,
as to the sky I try to take flight,
skills learned in the academy of old
where we exfoliated old skills and growing bold
Spent time glaring at our profs and dreaming of skies
full of bold adventurers taking flight.

@responsiveme You'll be pleased to know I've done a story now but it is very short and not nearly as good as the three here.

Well done! I have two stories and a great poem to take to my group.
I feel a bit ashamed for complaining about it. I've had a fortnight to do it and three people have come up with great stuff overnight (my overnight but still). Watch this space for next weeks homework.

Just think of the subject you want to write about and let the imagination go wild. I would do a children`s story because you can be wild with it.

That's a good idea. They are pretty hard words to tie in together.

I already see others have helped you with this. For me this is cakewalk what with having to use around 30 keywords provided by Sharon Bucks for her articles while tasks were on in the old myLot

@JudyEv That is how I earned there - One month I earned 140 dollars. Difficult but challenging. Not all articles had that requirement.

Your choice of the word "moon" caught my attention. I would use that word and build your little story around that. Hope that it helps a little bit lol!!

Thanks. I thought a couple of the tricky words I might be able to use in dialogue too. Did you read the comments of Fleur, Topffer and Jekca? So clever.

You were so cute! Sorry, but you'll have to write your own story - my brain isn't awake enough!

@AbbyGreenhill I'll let you off. I'll have to post the next lot of homework on here, won't I, not that I've had such a lot of help.

What an adorable photo. You are a naughty girl putting aside your homework like that. I looked at those words and thought to myself, "It certainly won't be me writing it". It does however sound like a fun thing to do. What a great challenge it would me for myLot.

@HazySue It is quite ordinary as I didn't leave myself much time in the end. I'll add it here: As I left the academy and headed downhill to the parking area, it was glaringly obvious that something preposterous has happened. The moon was not yet out and the area was poorly lit by a solitary street-light. A yacht, exfoliated of all sails and masts, lay on its side at an oblique angle like a toy. I couldn't imagine how I could help and I needed potatoes for tea so I went on my way.

Thank you. I'll have to make another effort as three people have done stories for me. Isn't this a great site?

What a lovely photo and the rocking horse too. Am afraid I won't be able to take up the challenge though I'd have liked to have a shot at it.
If you don't mind could you give us the next words.
I see some fellow mylotters have done good stuff
