~They Were Approved!~

Good morning everyone! I hope your all doing well today. I was up early this morning, actually our whole house was for some reason. 
It is a chilly morning here today but the sun is shining and we have blue skies. =)
I looked at the website earlier and our taxes were finally approved! We should be getting our refund by March 8th. Thank God! We need a new vehicle-our van is on it's last leg. We were praying it would last long enough until we got our taxes and thank God it has so far. I hope one year we will be able to use our taxes for something fun like a vacation or something. Every year it goes to either a vehicle or bills we need to catch up on. Oh well, grateful for it either way. 
My husband was going to start a job for a client today but he's going to wait until Monday instead-so he will be home again today! I feel like I won the lottery when he's here!

What a great picture. I hope to visit Florida again someday. Glad to hear that your taxes were approved and that you will be getting you refund soon. What a relief that must be. Enjoy your family time.

It has been a very pleasant day. I've had the window open and am watching Lifetime Movies. I get into them and watch two or three before moving on to something else. If it weren't for the bad guys in these things what would be a good storyline anyway? Glad about you taxes and hope that one day you can spend it on a nice vacation.

It is sunny and cold here. Glad your van is holding on for you now once you get the money you have to look for another vehicle always fun shopping for the the one you want.

That is great that you are getting you taxes back.. I did not file I didn't work enough last year to even bother with them.. my weekend was good tho beside at work when I wanted to throat punch someone lol.

I agree, I hope each year our taxes could be used on a vacation but it always has to go to bills. But, I am not really complaining. I thank God each year when it comes. It always helps with bills.

Glad to hear your taxes were approved and you can expect your refund soon.
As far as a vacation fund goes....when our children were small we had a vacation pot. Bottle refunds went into the pot...and extra pennies were added.
If we earned a dollar we tried to put ten cents into the pot. We didn't open the pot...for anything....at the end of the year even if we couldn't afford the vacation of our dreams we could put the money towards a family outing. Everyone felt fulfilled for helping to earn this.

@Morleyhunt I have always wanted to do this. And I have done it in the past but my husband has tapped into it at times and that's the problem. Maybe I should hide it somewhere he would never expect and the kids and I can start saving! Lol. That's the one thing that drives me crazy about my husband-he doesn't know how to save a penny.
