Have you ever had a discussion without any comments?

Sometimes I look at the section "New User Discussions" and I see a lot of new topics (especially coming from newbies) without any comments. This never happened to me, but I think if you write about any subject - however ordinary it may be - in an interesting way (be creative! ), your post will hardly go unanswered.

Not yet but anything is possible. In the 'New User Discussions' list they are ALL posts by 'newbies. That is why it is called New User Discussions because new users are newbies '

The cause of this can be for several reasons, so anyone could potentially end up with a discussion and no responses. This question cropped up recently and I was unsure about the answer, so I checked all my discussions. I do have plenty with only 1 or 2 responses, but only one that has no responses.

Hasn't happened so far. I think the lowest number of responses I've had is 13 and they were 13 good ones so I was happpy. Sometimes 13 really good responses is better than 30 mediocre ones

Most enjoy responses that generate further discussion. And of course anything that makes me laugh.

I try to sort the posts by discussions with no responses sometimes and then I reply to a few of them. I think it is important that we keep everyone engaged so they want to come back and post more discussions.

I do and its a long time ago. It was back when new and that is so many years ago. It was about entertainment to see if anyone had watched something I had watched. You know its a long time when you can't remember the topic. In recent years, I have responses on everything.

I haven't checked all my old posts. I'm sure I probably have one or two without any comments. But usually I manage to at least get a couple of comments anyway. I always check the "no Response" list to see if I can help somebody out by being the first commenter. But sometimes, I just can't think of any response. Also, there's one post in there that I've tried to comment on for several days, but MyLot just freezes up, and no matter how long I wait, the comment just won't post! I don't know what's wrong with that particular discussion, because everything else seems to work fine.

That is the reason sometimes I go to "no response " tab and respond on discussion of found interesting. It never happened that my discussion remained unanswered.

True. Sometimes, I would look at some unanswered discussion and if I am interested in what they are saying, I would give them a post.

I agree with you. I am very new and posted just a few discussions, but so far I have some responses.

It hasn't happened to me so far but then I have posted very few discussions. I go down that list and, whenever I can, I try to respond with something to get them off it but some members don't make it easy. Some discussions are just too niche, too difficult to understand or too much in violation of the rules to last for very long anyway.

Some discussions can be hard to reply to. It hasn't happened to me yet. I'd be pretty devastated if it did, mainly because I've been here so long I'd think I'd done really bad to be completely ignored.

No. I have had some with very little response but I know some posts have little appeal.
