Blimp

The Goodyear Blimp is something we get to see at least once a year. It went by a few days ago, and I snapped a quick photo of it. It reminded me that I feel like a blimp. All we have been doing for the last month is eating and drinking. And it's not over yet. All my exercise has kept me from gaining weight, but now my hubby and I are owners of the Fitbit Blaze. I still need time to figure it out, but so far, so good. Yesterday, I walked over 12400 steps. Do you have a Fitbit?

Yay on your step goal! I'm a fitbit user :-) Lately though I've been under-motivated and it's main use has been to tell me all the steps I'm missing during the day. Ha. I would love to ride in a zeppelin some day

@DianneN When I can have one I'll be interested to see how well I sleep at night. Maybe I'll find out that I get better sleep than it seems like I get some days.

@MarshaMusselman I have to figure out how to set that up. I'm interested in that, too.

Lol! I have to figure out how to use mine better. I do have the steps and heart monitor, but I need time to read more about it. I'm so clueless.

Yes I have the Fitbit Charge 2 HR. I love it! I almost got the Blaze but I tried one on and thought that it was too big and heavy for me.

I'm wearing mine now. I cheat and remove it when I go out, so I can wear a watch. I don't find it heavy.

@DianneN I had a Fitbit Charge HR for 2 years which was very light before trying on the Blaze. If I hadn't had that, I probably would have been fine. My Charge 2 HR is much lighter than the Blaze and I love it

I don't have a Fitbit but they do intrigue me. Your steps are quite impressive and mine would pale in comparison. Have fun with it as I imagine it would be a great incentive!

Just walking around our condo, doing laundry, dusting, etc. gives us lots of steps. I took a walk yesterday afternoon with a friend and racked up an additional 7800 steps. Who knew?

I don't have one yet, but both my daughters do and they like having it. When I am able to get one I'm hopeful that by then I'll have a smartphone to sync it to. At present, I just need to get my bills paid and maybe later get that or the newer style phone.

I never see blimps at home. A Fitbit is something you wear on your wrist and sync with a smartphone. It helps with keeping track of fitness, calories, heart monitor, sleep patters, etc. Mine is also a watch. I need to learn more about its use.

I do not have a Fitbit. Thought about it, but I have bigger fish to fry. Yes, I do need to get motivated to walk a bit more. That will come once warm weather gets here. The only exercise I get is through work or when I am in my rocking chair. LOL. Winter is bleck.

It's been out for a long time now, and I got along without it. My husband wanted one for himself and asked if I wanted one, too. Who am I to say no? Lol! I'm sure you get plenty of exercise, even in that rocking chair. I know all about winter. Ugh!

Oh gosh, I know I've been slipping in the food department lately . . . both Hubby and I have felt like blimps lately. Hubby uses some app on his phone and aims for 10,000 steps per day. Me, I don't measure any workouts/steps that I do . . . I just do what I do and feel a bit fit for the day .

@DianneN Yes, moving around is much better for us. If not, we might as well take "Goodyear" off the blimp and slap on the myLot logo on it !

They do say to walk at least 10,000 steps a day. I think I've done that for at least five days a week for years and years. I'd like to up it a bit more.

No, I do not have one, I know the distance I walk every day and I can easily calculate the steps without the need of a Fitbit.

I don't. But everyday I walk from office to my rented place. It isn't short distance. I will try using my pedometer to know how many steps that is.
