Now that we are planting flowers and such we have started intermingling them with our garden ornaments and statues. As we placed our little gnomes and frogs out among our new flowers it became abundantly clear that they need a new look. Our poor ornaments new a new face lift. Unfortunately I have not been paying much attention to them. They all seem to new a new paint job. They are fading and chipping. They look so sad. It looks like I need to add new paint jobs to my to do list. Do you repaint your lawn ornaments?

Actually I like the way your Mister looks. He's been digging in the potatoes while you all were in the house sleeping. I don't repaint.

That's true, he looks like he's been hard at work.

I have to repaint the bird bath, it is made with cast iron and the painting is a bit chipped. I have no gnomes or painted decorations in the garden.

@HazySue Sometimes it's less expensive, but I know that I would not like to replace my stuff.

@LadyDuck I think in many cases they are so old they would be hard to replace.

We have the lawn ornaments scattered among our gardens. I may be spending days and days getting them back to their original prettiness. I wonder if it would be easier to just buy new ones.

Owning the gnomes and such does add a little bit of responsibility to keep them looking nice. It will take time.

I don't have any lawn ornaments. But I would prefer to buy new ones than repainting them if I had some that needed "tender loving care".

Most people would rather buy new ones. I kind of like to paint, for me it's relaxing.

If you do them all at once, you'll be able to do all the blue bits, then all the red bits, etc. Much more economical on paint and time to do them all.

I hadn't thought of that. It does make sense.
