How Do You Spend Your Online Money?

Most of us are definitely not able to live off the money we earn online from sites like MyLot, so I wondered if there is something specific my friends here do with their online money. Most of the money I earn online is paid to me regularly by Google and Amazon. It is produced by my blog and Amazon books, and that money goes into our regular household budget. Sometimes, I use it to treat myself to something special I want. In addition, I earn small amounts of money from sites like MyLot, The Daily Voice News (an online newspaper where I write), and a few other sites where I have written articles over the years. I let these small sums of money accumulate in my PayPal account and use them to support charities, political candidates and other causes which I think are important. What about you? How do you spend your online income?

Im only making money on here right now, but its not really that small of a sum.. i did however pay back a friend with most of my last payment from here. And plan to give more with aprils once it comes in. And same with mays. The rest of both will go towards food for the house.

@Courtlynn - You must spend more time here than I do. I am impressed that you were able to pay off a debt with your income here. Good for you!

Carefully! They help poor people in no way. lol They take your money as if you are rich. That being said. Love online buying markets, but feel it makes the world even more corrupt. Just saying. We going to do it anyway, but want to make people fully aware of that

If there is something we need the money goes to tat. Or if I really want something I save it to buy what I want.

@jstory07 - That sounds like a good balance ... spend it on what you need first, then spend the extra on whatever you want.

I have accumulated all my online earnings, they are on a personal account. My husband told me to keep what I make he does not want that it goes into our household budget. I am still thinking what I am going to do with that money.

Do you write books on Amazon? Would that be available in the form of e-Book? On which topic to you write books. My online earnings is through mylot and it is a meager amount and I do not keep it separately to buy anything special.

I use what I earn for things that I need around here, things that need to be paid or bought. It might be going towards good, or help with a bill, or something like that.

It really depends on the circumstances at the time. Right now, all of my online earnings are going toward making ends meet because moving really depleted our savings. We'll have it built up in a few weeks now that I'm getting back to my normal hours at work. As soon as that happens, any extra income I make will start going to whichever credit card we're focusing on paying off. Once all of that is knocked out, we'll be sending it directly to an investment account.

@DeborahDiane Having a plan seems to be the most important thing when it comes to managing money. Without one, things can go awry way too quickly!

My Lot money is so small it just goes into the general house hold pocket and is swallowed. Swagbucks is more toward fifty a month so I keep that back for me- once that money helped to pay for pricy dog food, once it bought a deck swing etc.

I buy fabric! Imagine me, buying fabric. It pays for a yard a month. At this rate I should have enough to make a quilt in about a year.

@DeborahDiane I have very few quilts that are made as a result of one 'shopping' trip, online or otherwise. Often my quilts start with one or two fabrics I've found in my stash (purchased or received because the price was right), then I need to purchase something to build with. I've written several posts with quilts I've made.
