Burglars in my house.

Last night I was mylotting when I felt cold air in my back. I thought that I probably had left the bedroom window open so I went there.
The glass door was open and three people, two of them masked, stepped into my room.
The money, where is the money, they yelled! And then, where are the jewels!
I was terrified and showed them with my finger what they wanted.
They got some small bags from my closet nd started filling them.
They also took my laptop, my tablet and my cellpone. Now I´m in my daughter´s house and I´ll only write this post. Her laptop doesn´t have mouse and the letters are very small.
Nothing happened to me and everyone I´ve told the entire story tells me I should buy a lottery ticket. I´ll tell you my story in detail as soon as I have a new computer of my own.

Everyone is telling me to get an alarm system. But I have never lived with keys in my own house and I´m too old to start now. But Leticia has accepted to get a dog and I´ll buy a big dog.

Do you have any homeowners insurance or anything that covers that sort of thing. I'm really glad that you are okay. Let us know when you have a new computer and can post again

I don´t have an insurance and don´t believe they work. how much would an insurance company give for your gold marriage ring? For me it was priceless, yet I guess for them is next to nothing

Today I went to the Bank to see if my Visa card was blocked and the Bank agent told me that I should buy a lottery ticket and another one for herself. Noone is known to stay unhurt from something like this

Wow, sorry to hear that. I am glad you are OK and sad they were able to get away with your valuables. I hope they find them. That is one reason I love My German Shepherd so much because most people are scared to walk on the sidewalk let alone try to break in the our house.

@marguicha Your police is better than Italian police, they did not come to my house when we were visited by burglars. Stay with your daughter, you both will feel safer.

@marguicha I'm glad they treated you kindly. Maybe it's good you didn't have a .45 on hand. I had a kid walk up to me in my car in Oakland CA. I was unarmed. He said, "Do you have money?" I said "Yes, I always carry money." He didn't know what to say next and walked away.

i'm glad the upstairs phone was working so you were able to make calls. i'm sorry you lost your wedding ring. it's scary when we lose our electronic devices because it contains sensitive information and ways to access our loved ones.
