Yes, receiving a 'like' does pay!

It always has in this version of myLot, although for some reason many people have stated otherwise.
Putting it bluntly, a 'like' is the only way to show interest in a discussion without making a comment/response, and the Earning FAQ page has always stated, albeit indirectly, that it is one of the conditions for which we earn.
But 12 days ago, Alex plainly stated in no uncertain terms that a 'like' does indeed pay.
So can we finally put the 'question' to rest?
Receiving a 'like' to any discussion, response, or comment you make does indeed earn for you.
Period.

A share likes....not as many as comments....but that's because so often when I'm on the iPad the screen will jump and with my fat fingers I end up somewhere other than my intended location. Time becomes a factor.

So it is true. But just LIKING all comments in a discussion gets the liker a cent for each like? I ask this because I noticed somebody liking every comment in my discussion but the user has no comment given. Wouldn't the LIKE be abused by some?

No, it does not pay the person doing the 'liking' it pays the person GETTING the 'like', and nothing here pays 1 cent.
If someone 'likes' something, they don't get paid for it. When I 'like' your response, YOU get paid for it, not me.
