Today we arrived in the early hours of the morning to a very cold Santiago. The people in the plane told us by loudspeakers that we would have to go to the airport by bus as the terminals were all occupied. And moreover, that we would have to step down a icy metal flight of stairs and to be careful not to slip. JEEZZZ!!! Shame!
There was a firm handrail though. Good, I thought. Until I touched the icy metal. I then took a paper hankie and bent there, going step by step with the face of the oldest woman on earth. So that a lady from Avianca came to help me and I could go down without breaking the 2 liters of Jack Daniels I bought at the duty free shop
We got into the van we had rented and here I am, home. I am mylotting a bit while my bedroom heats up. I brought a duvet from one of the rooms at the second floor. And my grass has snow.

Better be safe than sorry At the end of the stairs, someone asked me if I was the lady that had asked for a wheelchair. I replied that no, but that it was because I hadn´t thought of it.

A friend of mine, who lives 10 minutes away from here by car, has not had electricity since the snow. I told her to come and shower and have lunch here, but she had things to do.

I made an artificial warm climate in my bedroom. And now Leticia came and we have 2 heaters in the dining room.
