Can Anyone Help

Does anyone know how to get back into email when your password isn't accepted. They mailed a password to my alternate email but they still won't accept it. I've had them send several, one after the other but I still can't sign in. It's a major problem because I do all my banking and bill paying online. I've requested help but it keeps going back to sending another password to my alternate email which they still will not accept. I can't find a phone number to call and I'm at my wits end. Does anyone know how to deal with this problem? I'd appreciate any help.

Isn't there a number where you can call and do it over the phone? WHen you do get it all straightened out I would write down the password incase you forget it. I have a hard copy and a online copy of all my passwords.

@celticeadle I can't find anyway to contact. I've tried everything to get help but they only send a password again to the alternate mail and when I use it they say it's incorrect.

@JamesHxstatic So do I. When I went to check my email as usual they wouldn't accept my password and that's when the trouble began.

@Lucky15 As far as I know they don't have my number. I've had this email for the last fifteen years or longer. In any case I have no way to contact them that I can find.

I did that to myself once because I kept misspelling my email address, maybe all you need is to wait a little while then try again. Oh, I use gmail so it's easy to get them to fix it for me.

That is a scary problem. I don't know what to do if they will not accept what they sent to the alternate email. I have them text a message to my phone.

There is no way to contact anyone or make any requests. They will only send a password to an alternate email. That's all the help I can find.

@JamesHxstatic I've been there but it always comes back to sending a password to my alternate mail. And they never accept the password they send

In situations like that I just change my password. I had that problem earlier this year with Social Security and found that my password had expired and I needed to create a new one.

Maybe the keyboard are in caps lock or there is underscore in your password. Have you tried in another device, maybe the other keys are not functioning.

The password they send is in capitals and I've tried both ways.

Are you sure that you have been typing the new password correctly. Sometimes having Caps lock on can create troubles

Are you entering the correct username/email account? If you receive the password reset the rest should be correct. Do you have another computer from where to try? If not, can you try using another browser?

@RubyHawk The browsers are free to download, you do not need to buy one. Before changing browser, try to empty the cache and delete all the cookies and history of the browser.

@LadyDuck That might be a bigger problem. My better half never keeps passwords and if we did that he would be locked out of his emails and other sites.

Yes, I'm entering the correct information. I hadn't thought about using another browser I'll have to buy one to try that. I hope you've come up with the solution

It's looking hopeless. I might have to use my alternate email and that will be difficult because everything important is connected to this email.

Procedure is the same as you mentioned. Alternate mail or mob is used for reset the password.

I haven't found anyway to contact them. And I've looked at everything they have listed for help. Everything leads back to them sending a password to the alternate email and they won't accept the password.

Try this link Ruby- It has many options for yahoo. Scroll down to option you need. It looks like you must do this through account security. If that doesn't work go to a website called ehowto. They usually have posts that can solve most anything. Just type the info into the search once you find the website. Good luck!
Changing your password is a good idea if you think that someone else has figured out your password or if you just haven't changed your password in a while -- or ever. If you are already logged into Yahoo! Mail, you can change your password...
