Strangest Food: "Kamaru or Ricefield Crickets"

In some farm fields in my country, farmers love to catch insects called "kamaru" or mole crickets. They tend to sell or make it as a meal. I haven’t found them in the city market and wondered how they can eat this insect. Personally speaking, I won’t dare to eat or munch it. “Have you tasted such an exotic food?” “Do you have strange food in your country?” Image Credit: www.staffvirtual.com

Wow! That's also an exotic food and never seen it before. What does "salagubang" taste? According to @Lucky15 it tastes like nuts. June bugs really look weirder than eating kamarus. Image Credit: www.upublishme.com

I think every country has its own strange food and it all looks weird for foreigners. I don't know whether I will dare to try the insects if I ever travel your country, it is a challenge for me to try such a strange food

Either I, don't like those exotic foods. Also, those worms that live inside the trunks of trees that is a delicacy of a town here in the Philippines. Even the crocodile meat, I don't like those exotic foods.

I remember a show where they made the contestants eat nasty insects like crickets, grasshoppers, things like that. I guess you have to eat that exotic food quickly before your brain figures out what you just ate

We use that as bait for snakehead in our province. I have my share of tasting weird delicacy. The only meat that I didn't bother to try was cat meat, and I want to kick the guy who killed the cat.

I don't eat cat's meat. I am sure Filipinos won't dare to kill a cat for food. During the old days, the elders love to eat dog's meat. But then, it was forbidden now.

Very strange. How people can eat this, I know this insect. It is found in paddy fields, we called it "khunti poka " khunti means digging holes and poka means insect.
