Hey everyone, hope your doing well today.
We were supposed to look at a house today but I had a feeling my husband should ask about the requirements before we went. I'm glad he did so we saved our time and gas. They do a credit check-which killed that one. Back to square one...again.
I'm just going to keep packing and waiting I guess for something to happen. Feeling like I'm on a roller coaster at this point.
I got a lot done this morning. Vacuumed all baseboards and all rooms, cleaned out the fridge, dishes are done and bagged all the laundry up.
I'm trying to keep my faith and keep my head up, I know something will come through for us. We just have to be patient until it does...

Yeah time is going on, but surely he won't just chuck you out on the day..yes something will come I am sure. They make me sick with their credit shite as they should look at rent slips first.
Often people who have maxed out credit with a high credit score are in debt and may not be able to pay their rent while the people with crap credit have to pay their rent and usually will.

@Tiarasoceanview Actually he came by the other day and told us he needs us out and the place clean by the end of the month. =(
Yeah, I wish credit wasn't such a big requirement everywhere.

When do you have to be out of your home ? I hope something will come along soon. My sister is in the same boat just trying to find an apartment for rent in the same school district for her kid. It is hard especially when a single mom and not much available. What she did look at they were all run down apartments which she doesn't want. Wish you good luck and hope something comes along.

@LovingMyBabies That's good you don't have to worry about school districts then. Where are you going to go at the end of the month if you don't find a place ? I wish you luck as you only have a week left to search

@Blondie2222 We have to be out by the end of the month. Yeah, everything we have seen has been either too expensive, they want to do a credit check or its in a really bad part of town. Thank God we don't have to worry about schools because I home school, otherwise this would be even harder!

I don't know if this would work but you could try it: When we were looking for a house, the house was going to be in both our names So they ran the credit check that way. But this was my girlfriend.(16 years later, we're still together.) She didn't have bad credit, she had no credit. No credit cards or anything. So they tried running just my credit. It was very good so we got it.

@LovingMyBabies Fortunatly for me, my bad credit came after we got this house. If the both of you have credit cards, keep paying on them as much as possible. If you don't, try getting one. I know it's hard when you're credit is bad, but sometimes someone will take a chance. Another thing, sign up for credit karma. Not only does it not hurt your credit score to check it, they make reccomondations based on your credit score what card to apply for. It may be one that for now, has an annual fee. believe me, it's worth it.

@LovingMyBabies I'd probably be nervous as well. It's normal. All you can do is keep looking and try and stay as positive as you can.

It has gotten to the point that a credit check has more weight than it should in our lives. I will say a prayer for you guys right now. They should look at hubby's work ethic and how well you have paid most recently.

Do you know for a fact that you have a bad credit rating, or are you basing it on the fact that you're under-monied? More important than the amount in your bank account is your record of bill payments. Even if you are carrying a large balance on your credit card, if you manage to make at least the minimum payments on time, there shouldn't be too much of a problem.

We don't have credit cards and we wouldn't get approved for one even if we wanted one-which we don't.

I'm so sorry. This is what scares me about having bad credit myself -- if my boyfriend and I ever have to move, I won't pass a credit check! He will, but I definitely won't...which would mean having to move somewhere with only his name on the lease most likely, and I don't like that thought, as I would have no rights as a tenant. Wish they'd do away with the credit checks since most people are in debt or have bad credit nowadays!

@Srbageldog Yeah it has been really horrible. Credit is so important now, I am teaching my children that already-trying to get it through their heads since I wasn't taught about it.
