Bicarb is amazing

I used to make a paper mache volcano and put bicarb, vinegar and cream of tartar in the middle. That was always great fun. Nowadays I clean my sink with bicarb and my stove top and my windows and the other day I made a bizarre mixture of bicarb apple cider vinegar and lemon juice and drank and didn't want to eat for a whole day so now I'm thinking of going on a diet with that wierd each morning... if I can only bear to drink it again! Lately I've also cleaned a silver necklace with bicarb and had a bath with it in as it draws out impurities.
Bicarb is my new wonder household item but in the UK you can't buy it in a big tub like you can in the US which is a real drag.
Do you use bicarbonate of soda? If so what for?

@Marilynda1225 That is one I have never heard. I will bear that in mind if the cat ever has an eye infection!

I have a dog with an eye problem and this sounds like a good solution. I'm going to try it

I love using it with vinegar for cleaning my sink drain. Keeps the pipes running smoothly. Wasn't that mixture of bicarb, vinegar and lemon juice bitter?

Is bicarb baking soda? Is it safe to drink with vinegar?
