This year is really slipping by isn't it?
In just over 2 weeks it will be October already and I'm still not ready for that damn stupid time change ..... why can't they leave time alone? All it does is cornfewzz everybody, except me of course
I don't have to worry about schedules, I just do as I bleeping pleeze.
The photo above is a blossom on a vine mom had growing along her fence and I want so badly to grow it here but I don't know the name of it. Have you seen them before? Do you know what it's name is?
And before I forget, I want to thank @daddyevil for helping me figure out how to access my Seagate, now I can retrieve all the videos I took of mom as well as all kinds of photos of Mykey, both are deceased.
So, whatcha doin folks?

@rebelann Last year when I was setting up the tree, I started getting depressed and wanted to go up north to visit my kids and grandkids. This year I am planning on staying home. One year we went on a cruise as it was our first year down south and not being with the kids so we took a cruise right out of Florida and had a great time. We all gathered in a huge room and sang Christmas Carols. There were so many countries represented and it was the next best thing being I couldn't get back up north.

August flew by in the blink of an eye for me. I mean, I think that was the fastest I've ever seen a month go by! But September, it has been dragging on like a snail trying to cross a field of molasses in the winter time! Mostly because of Hurricane Irma, and that agonizing week of waiting for it to get here. It seemed like we had to wait a month for it to finally strike (not that we wanted it to hit us, but the anticipation of waiting was killing us). And then, having to sit through the storm as it took a couple of days to pass over us, and then the agonizingly slow process of cleaning up afterward. After all that, we're barely halfway through the month. Yet, it feels like it's been an entire season. I hope the rest of the month goes much faster.

I get the feeling it'll go by really busy so that you won't have time to actually worry about it, there's bound to be a lot of repair needed all over your state which will probably involve you in one way or another.
They've speculated that it could take years to recover from all the destruction Harvey and Irma caused.

@rebelann I just want the cooler weather to hurry up and get here. That's all I care about right now! This summer heat has just worn out its welcome!

Pretty bloom though it might be considered an invading species if I remember right. Me? Doing something today? Well, lets see: I took the garbage out and cleaned the cat pan. I'm pretty special for sure. I need to get busy sooner than later but sure am feeling like a lazy cat.

@rebelann1949 - I agree. It is crazy to me that it is almost time to start thinking about Halloween, Thanksgiving and .... Christmas!!! Less than 100 days until Christmas!

Yes, that's exactly why I had to stop trying to buy gifts @DeborahDiane I did think of trying to make gifts but then I realized I don't have the right kind of skills for that so time is what I decided I'd offer and surprisingly a few took me up on it, one actually asked me to help her shop for gifts for her hubby and kids, it was fun for me and she told me later that she didn't spend as much with me around as she would have had she been by herself.

@rebelann - That is a good idea. I think most people are getting overwhelmed by all the holiday gift giving. It gets too complicated and expensive, trying to do it all.

Hello, that flower is a morning glory and they come in a few different colors. The time change doesn't bother me any more since I am retired. Time doesn't mean anything either. I know when it is time to eat, (my stomach tells me) and as long as the tv has my shows on it I can figure out the time.

Yeah, it does belong to in the same plant family as the morning glory but it doesn't have the same heart shaped leaf
Here is a picture of the leaves that belong with my flower.

the older I get the faster it goes, blazing fast. I hate the time change too especially the fall change. It's already getting darker sooner in the day and they we fall back that hour and now it's even earlier, I hate that.

Yep, it is a Morning Glory. They grow wild around here quite often. They come in many different colors. Purples, pinks, whites, light blue color. They are really pretty and really invasive when they start growing.

The leaves look different though and they bloom all day long not just in the morning. I know they're part of the morning glory family so I'll just have to go through all the pictures I find and hopefully I can find a match for the leaves, that's what I find so attractive.

It's either a Morning Glory or a Moon flower (looks like a Morning Glory, but a little bigger and prefers to bloom later. I had a bunch . One of my favorite flowers.
The time change doesn't bother me.
