The time has come....

Two years ago last month I discovered myLot from posts on Persona Paper. I decided to give it a shot. I had no preconceived ideas of what it would be like. I signed up, took my time, looked around a bit before I jumped in posting.
Since that day I spent way more time on this site than I planned to and I have proof of that by some of my internet bills! I didn’t come here for the money; I came to chat, to meet up with old friends and make new ones. I came to have fun. To be entertained. To share. To learn. To laugh, mostly to laugh.
I like to laugh and I love to make others laugh. The saying under my photo in my high school yearbook is, “I shall laugh myself to death”! Life is serious enough, we need to laugh more, we need to have fun.
Another motto of mine always has been, “I’ll keep doing it as long as it is still fun”. I know, especially at my age, that life is short so why should I do things if they are no longer fun.
With that said, I am saying good-bye to myLot and to all of you. I will respond to comments to this post but other than that I will be gone. I wish you all health and happiness – and don’t forget to laugh.

You know I will miss you, I am so sorry to see you go, but what you say is so true, if we have no more fun, this means it's time to go. I will also miss Ruby, but I know she will be happy to know you have more time for her. We will stay in touch trough FB. It has been great to talk with you for this long time.

Oh, I'm sorry that you feel you have to leave... but you're right that if it's not fun, it's not worth staying. I hope the funds have still been helpful with making a dent in your internet bills (I take it that you pay per amount of time spent, and not a flat rate per month?)

Let me explain - For more than 1 year on here I had a Verizon Jet Pack - it was not unlimited. I was paying 80-90-120 bucks and it increased monthly. The last two bills I paid them were each over $400 - my only other option was satellite...and that is what I have not - unlimited 80/month...but, if you use more than the allotted time they don't charge you more, but they slow down your speed. My reason for leaving here has nothing to do my internet money.

Sad to hear that, but as one who has tried to finish here often, I can understand. The only thing that keeps me coming back is the friendships I have developed over the years. Some people here I have known a long time through four or five different sites. I wish you well in the next venture in your life.
