New Suit and Other News

Someone suggested I look on Amazon for a swimsuit and did so this morning. I found one that is perfect along with the perfect price for it. So I will have that next week and be back in the pool by Thursday. I can't wait for it to get here. There is always the fear that it won't fit, but all things considered, I'm sure it will. I also e-mailed my friend and let her know I'll be back by the end of the month. I also just heard from my doctor. I went to his office a few weeks ago regarding a sleep study. He sent an oximeter a couple days ago, and I wore that little device on my finger all night, night before last and sent it back yesterday. He said there was some troubling areas on the read out, so I'm going to be doing some kind of home study. He said the numbers are common for sleep apnea. Right now I'm not too concerned about it. I still don't believe I have sleep apnea. I move around too much at night and I was aware of that device on my finger the whole night. I'm just surprised I kept it there the whole night. It was a total nuisance. So we'll see what this home study does reveal and how long it will take. That's my up to the minute news. How is your day going? Thanks for reading.

I did the home sleep study thing. In my opinion, it is better than going to the actual sleep center because you get to sleep in your own bed and you don't have to worry about someone watching you. You're totally more relaxed. It isn't too much stuff either, but you do get the oximeter again. It isn't the end of the world if you wind up finding out that you DO have sleep apnea. My results said that I stopped breathing on average 30 times per hour. I knew that I was having disturbed sleep but I had no idea that it was THAT bad. Now I sleep soundly through the night with my CPAP machine.

That's great. He said my numbers dipped about every hour. I still think that was due to all the tossing and turning I do.

@just4him I hope you don't have it. But if you do, it can be easily managed.

You should know if you experienced sleep apnea, but it's better to check.

@LadyDuck I'm sure I don't either. I have a feeling this home study is going to leave me very tired simply because I will be aware of that device on my finger every night and won't get the kind of sleep I need.

It's extremely doubtful, especially since I was aware of that device all night. I slept better last night than I did the night before.

Sorry to hear you may have sleep apnea. I was given a oximeter to wear too and I couldn't sleep so I took it off.

That reminds me, maybe I should record myself again snoring and see what happens. Some said in that post mine that I could also have sleep apnea.

I don't know how you would record yourself snoring.

HaHaHa. You are so funny. I've never worn a bikini. A two piece when I was in my teens, but that wasn't a bikini by any means.

I have a long torso...buying a bathing suit is a nightmare for me. This summer I went out at least four times trying on bathing suits before I found one that I found with a reasonable fit... I'm also disproportionate...my bust is two sizes bigger than my hips...id never, ever consider or ding a bathing suit online. Good luck....I hope you are pleased with your swim suit.

I've gotten all my suits online and have never had a problem with them. I would probably do as you if I were disproportionate. I'm just overweight, but I'm taking care of that.

Sometimes, but it's not chronic. The doctor asked me that and he was satisfied with my answer. When my legs get restless, I just down a bottle of water and all's good.

Sleep apnea is a new one they've discovered, lately. My brother-in-law was diagnosed and they tried to sell him something to alleviate this disorder. Dan never did buy it and he's doing just fine. Stress is what causes sleep issues.

That's interesting, especially since I no longer have stress since I lost my job four years ago. I'm glad your brother is doing fine.

Nice that you found the perfect suit. I can sleep in one spot all night - but I am also a very light sleeper - I awaken at the slightest sound.
