SAD SEEING HIM LEAVE.

The little injured puppy that we found in our yard last weekend (I wrote about it in my post "Unexpected Guest") - well he left for his new home yesterday, and it was really sad seeing him go. I know he will be well taken care of by that family, and even though I would have liked to keep him myself, I am aware that I won't have the time to give him the love and care he deserves. Feeling sad about a stray animal I met a week ago - and I am sure many in my position would feel the same way too. Now imagine how much harder it is when a close friend or family member departs - sometimes forever.

I know how you feel, when my neighbors gave away one of the kittens I was so sad. She came inside our home all the time, she was such a smart and sweet black kitty.

@Kandae11 Goals for the future :) I haven't had a dog in 10 years. I do have a 15 year old cat and an obnoxious parrot lol

Even though you are saddened, you did the right thing! As far as friends and family, I try to imagine meeting again one day.

I am sorry you couldn't keep him, but happy he is going to have a good home. Saying good bye is always sad and I wish we never had to say good bye.

I am glad that your acquaintance found a new home but at the same time sad because he left. Cheer up! At least I am sure he will be okay.

There are plenty of dogs roaming ,flocking and doing everything they are known for in the the street of my locality. I could never develop any sympathy for them because of their incessant barking especially in the night. My bro in law met a major accident when a puppy just jumped on way of his speeding bike.I do not understand whether my personality or my circumstances is responsible for my hatred toward them.

You are not alone - not everyone can tolerate animals.

I'm sure that little puppy will be happy in his new home and although you'll be sad to see him go puppies do take a lot of time and energy.

It is sad to see a foster animal go, but it is much better to see an animal go and be happy than stay and might not get the chance to be as happy.

My nephew might have kept him here, but he plans to do some traveling shortly and therefore won't be able to look after him.

I can relate to that because just the other day one of our puppies, Kardo, bid goodbye to us because his new owner had come to get him.

It makes sense, you enjoyed the 'lil critter - though you have the amazing foresight to realize that there is a home that can better care for him. I am sure they would let you visit too :-)
