Morning coughee moment

Stumbling forth from the sanctity of my bed.
The screams of "Meow. Meow. I SAID MEOW DAMMIT!!!" ringing through the darkness.
So I turn on the accursed light and make my way to the front door.
Upon attending to His Majesty's desires, I turn on the cougheepot.
*click*
And while the brew known as The Nectar Of The Gods begins to...well...brew, I guess...I visit the sanctuary of the waters.
Then I make my way back to the kitchen mumbling that well-worn old prayer "Come on. Come on. FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST WOULD YOU PLEASE FINISH BREWING!!!"
And finally, I am able to fill my coughee cup, take that first sip, and a modicum of sanity reasserts itself.
At which point I wonder why I was talking to the cougheepot.
Yeah...it's like that most mornings.

I don't drink coughee but I keep a thermos of hot tea by my bed so I can drink it before having to negotiate the stairs to the kitchen.

@JolietJake I've thought that for years, but today I woke up and went straight out with Treacle for half an hour, without so much as a glance at the kettle!
That was nearly three hours ago and I'm only just about to have my first cup of tea now...

G'mornin JJ.
I think that most of us talk to our coffee makers.
On occasion I talk to the toaster to get that bagel toasted.
I am up so early today.......hopefully I can settle down later on this afternoon and have a nap to catch up on the sleep I'm missing now.

@JolietJake Hopefully it isn't too long.
I have to take the day off, have that medical appointment. That's why I'm up, I tossed and turned most of the night, so thought I might as well get up before I woke him up. My appointment is at 10, so nice and early and then hopefully I can make some good use out of the rest of the day-like an afternoon nap!

@Juliaacv I don't know why they can't deliver at the same time each day but each driver seems to have a different idea of how to deliver their route.

I'm wondering how long I'll be sitting at work with nothing to do this morning waiting for UPS to show up. It can be anywhere from 9 A.M. to noon.

Front door is between the bedroom and the cougheepot anyway, plus I'd probably trip over him if I didn't let him out first

The cashiers at Walmart have seen me show up at 2 A.M. because I was out of coughee and had forgot to buy more...it isn't a pretty sight

I have been cursing at my brewing goddess. She has been depositing the water so fast into the brewing basket that it causes the liner to curl. Nothing like chewing coffee grounds in the morning.

My coughee intake is usually at night. First thing I have to do when I wake up is put drops in my eyes to make the sandpaper go away.
