@TheHorse ..You wrote you would find it interesting to see "fires raging" in the north...I have been watching some of those things..its so sad...with water there is some hope, with fire none.

@vandana7 That is not what I said. We will not be able to see the fires from our hike. I said it will be interesting to see what the Bay Area looks like with all of the smoke from the fires raging to the North.

It really is. We hike up there year 'round. It's best to bundle up a bit in December and January, as the wind can make 55 degrees F feel quite cool.

No this hike is atop a ridge and affords good views to the East and West. But the fires are to the North. I wonder if I'll be able to get a creepy shot of the Golden Gate Bridge shrouded in smoke.
