ABOUT ME.

Today is the first day of the month of November and it was last November that I became a member of Mylot. Therefore I think it only fitting that I should divulge a bit more about myself - apart from what is already there on my profile page. Here are eight things about me.
(1) I can be a very loyal person - sometimes too loyal. I joined Bubblews - my first online site - in 2013, and I held on tight to the sinking ship even when the signs were glaring and others had already left.
(2) For four years I did two-year stints as Information Officer at my country's embassies in two different countries.
(3) I manged to escape from an abusive marriage - two months after arriving in a strange land and living with my husband for the first time. I am now single and plan to remain that way.
(4) Presently, I am involved with my own Caribbean Doll business. I also draw, paint write and help design clothes for my niece's boutique. The above picture shows one of my handcrafted dolls.
(5) My hobbies include, reading, painting, music and creating nice things.
(6) I have been involved in modeling, acting - and one memorable summer I placed third in a beach beauty competition . I still have the picture but I am not bold enough to post it.
(7) My saddest experience in recent times would be the death of one of my two sisters last summer.
(8) I grew up in a Christian home but must admit that I wasn't very close to God until a very traumatic experience in 2012. Now I pray and ask for his guidance every day.

I joined Bubbs in early 2013 but while I still had an account there until almost the end, I had basically stopped writing there when it became obvious to me that the site was failing. I had my account deleted a few days before the site was shut down.
Your doll looks quite a bit like your picture. Very nice!

@DaddyEvil No it wasn't on purpose. In fact when I first started making them and went out looking for markets, I was surprised when I was asked that question.

It's always nice to learn something new about a fellow myLotter so thank you for sharing so much about yourself.
Your dolls are really beautiful. Do they take a long time to make?
I was also a Bubblews member and held on until the very end. Thankfully some of my friends there directed me here.

My sister @Freelanzer introduced me to Mylot. The dolls are different sizes - so for the smallest size - about 6 inches- it would take me about five days to complete a dozen.

@Kandae11 I can imagine, I say that also, I am still here.Deal with it haters. 
I am an engineer by profession work in an MNC as a production manager married for last 13 years having two beautiful twin kids aged 10 years. I am happy with the life and that's what one should be.

we are similar on number 1. but i joined on my birthday in 2012. i was one of the very few oldies staying there until the ship sank.

I was also a Bubblews member , I am happy you escaped a bad marriage, your dolls are awesome (is that one supposed to be you?) , and I would love to see your bathing beauty photo! :-) I'm sorry about your sister but happy that your Spiritual walk is close now. :-)
