It had been a few years...

...but I went out last night for a bit. Wasn't a family gathering...wasn't to run sound for any bands...just to go out and do a bit of Karaoke. I used to go out every week...for years...and do karaoke at one of the bars here, but it shut down 4-5 years ago and I didn't really feel comfortable at the other bar here that did it occasionally. But last night a place I've run sound at often had karaoke...and I decided what the heck. 2 hours 3 beers 7 songs Touch, Peel & Stand - Days of the New The Devil Went Down to Georgia - Charlie Daniels Blue on Black - Kenny Wayne Shepherd Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC For What It's Worth - Buffalo Springfield Heartbreaker - Led Zeppelin Tube Snake Boogie - ZZ Top It was okay...not like the old days where I knew a bunch of people there, but that's okay too because I wasn't sure how well my voice would hold up. I blew a few lines in a couple songs...I've never used the screen with the words, I always do them from memory, and it had been so long that a couple times the words just...weren't...there for a minute. But it was fun...some...and Scar didn't throw too much of a fit about me being gone, so I may do it again next month. If I can stay awake past 7 PM.
