Update on my daughter, my van and myself

I didn’t sleep well last night. I woke up at 5am feeling like I was going to be sick. At some point I fell back asleep and my son and I didn’t get up until after 10am.
I woke up to texts from my dad and my daughter. My father told me they had a big captains breakfast at their hotel for free which will be every morning while they stay there.
My daughter is having a great time. Finding herself little trinkets to buy like a turtle made out of shells adorned with a hat and glasses. It’s too cold for them to swim in the ocean but they can still collect shells washed up on the beach maybe if it’s not to chilly down by the water.
She sent me some pictures one of which I posted here.
I’m feeling pretty sick today. I have pains across my stomach (belly button level). I never understand what causes this and wonder if it’s a hernia flaring up from lifting my heavy niece yesterday.
I am chilly and achy and a bit shaky so maybe I am coming down with a bug. Whenever I get this weird pain in my stomach I never figure out what it is.
The puppy keeps jumping on and off the couch and every time she jumps back up it’s right on my stomach. It hurts!
The garage finally called and said the cable they ordered is in and asked if I could drop my van off Tuesday morning. I told them how the tire they plugged is leaking and that I need them to check that out as well. At least I can put some air in and drive it if I really need to. Without my daughter here we won’t go through as much food just my son and I.

Yikes! I'm so sorry to hear how ill you are. Maybe you do have a bug, but your stomach pains sound strange to be. I'd see a doctor about it.
On another note, I'm so happy your daughter is having such a wonderful time. This definitely isn't beach season in Virginia, but that photo is calling to me.
Hope you feel better soon, and good luck with the van. Never a dull moment.

She posted a really beautiful photo of the ocean on instagram. I always try to give her photography advice and she won't listen but this time I told her the photo was beautiful. She has sent me a ton of photos today its wonderful! I wish I could be there with he though. I am finally starting to feel a little better now after being on the couch all day.

It might be that it isn't your stomach but rather your bowel which is in that general location. It can get irritated and cause pain but it might be worth having it checked out. Sure hope you are feeling better soon.

My mother mentioned diverticulitis or something along those lines. Anytime I ever went to the doctor in agony nothing was done and I was always brushed off and treated like a hypochondriac so I just don’t go unless I think I will die. Since I am used to this awful pain every few months I know it will go away after a few days. This time it last from 5am to about 9pm not to bad.

@BelleStarr I had what my mother called IBS when I was young but that was very different symptoms then this. Who knows if it was IBS then either though. I've always had a lot of stomach issues.

@shaggin It could just be IBS which I have and that location of the pain is not uncommon, diverticulitis is usually lower left quadrant.

I'm always worried they will say it is nothing and think I'm a hypochondriac. I never got answers anytime I went to our hospital in severe pain.

@Courtlynn she slept all day today catching up on days with little sleep since she's been gone. My mom is a germaphob so I am hoping my daughter isn't sick or I will never hear the end of it.

Laying here on the couch I feel a lot better finally. It was only when I went to take the dog outside I felt bad again. My stomach hurts inside like it feels bruised. Doesn't help the puppy keeps jumping on and off the couch right on my stomach.

Hmm I hope not. It seems like every few months I get this weird pain and then it goes away and I never learn the cause. I am pretty sure my belly button was herniated during my first pregnancy and it never went back to normal. No doctor ever said a word about it though.

She's been messaging me any time she is within range of wifi. I'm so glad I got her the ipod for Christmas as she is able to keep in touch with me!

I have it here so as long as I air the tire up I can drive it to town if I need. When he called today I thought he was going to ask me to drop it off then or tomorrow morning. I am glad he said next week as being as ill as I feel I could not have walked home in these cold temps (12 degrees F right now)

Those pains sound strange, I hope they work out to be nothing. Might be worth getting checked out?

Anytime I ever went to doctors about pains I was having they never found anything and one doctor wrote in her notes I was a hypocondriac so I prefer not to go unless I might die if I don't. Since these pains happen every few months then disappear I know I won't die.

I started feeling better late last night. I feel much better today. I vacuumed the living room but don’t want to overdue it so I’m laying down to rest a bit before taking a shower.

If you think it might be an hernia, don´t lift weights, even if it is a lovely girl.

At a year and a half she is 35 lbs. I had to watch her for an hour yesterday and held her because she was scared of my puppy and parrot.

I don't want to go and it be just a bug and look like a hypocondriac.

I tend not to check my tires for a long time so usually when I do they are pretty low. This actually has a leak though because of being plugged.

I look forward to it!
