Wierd and easy day

We knew one student would be gone all day. We thought another one would be in after a doctor's appointment. Instead his mom kept him home. He needed it. So we worked on changing the schedules some, as well as the activities. We caught up on sharing information about the students. I went to the bus barn to get pictures of the washer and dryer, because one of our students is going to learn how to do laundry. Since the weather was gorgeous our principal decided to have a fire drill. That makes sense to me. They are required so many times a year. It was in the upper 50's F here today. Very unusual for January, so we got it done. The wind picked up a lot around 4 p.m. Power went off briefly in Marion, where I work, and Florence where I live. It knocked out my internet. Hubby took me to Hillsboro to eat, cannot cook without power. I tried several things to get back online when the power came back. I ended up calling the provider. The solution was to unplug and replug the router. Did you have a good day? How windy was it for you? The wind kept changing direction and was so gusty it made me feel like my transmission was having a problem.

It is forty-seven this morning and it is only 6:45. Windy again, too.

our weather is always good. When my internet is giving trouble I also unplug and re-plug the router. Makes a world of difference.

I had tried turning off all the power, that usually works, but did not. I keep learning new things.

@GardenGerty Me too. I am such a klutz when it comes to anything electronic. Thank God for my niece. The younger generation can come in handy some time.

Losing power is awful! I have a stove that runs off propane so thankfully I can still cook if the electric is out.

Well, I have learned how to use the stove top now, even with the electric out. I found a book for the stove that told me.

It's been a good day. I hate computer problems. Glad it was an easy enough fix.

I'm sorry you had problems today. This morning I had a not nice driving commute but am fine now. I'm hoping tomorrow morning is not a repeat. (It freezes during the night so the first drive is icy.)

Well now I know what to do next time with the computer. Hope you do not have ice to scrape and deal with this morning.

@sallypup I know, it is winter and we should expect it. I am in Oklahoma this weekend and it is much warmer and sunnier.

You had an interesting day. I'm sorry the power went out and caused problems getting back on the Internet when it came back.

I had pretty much a nothing day yesterday. Made some soup, read a book and went online... nothing to write home about.

You know about my crazy day, but like you, it's been very windy. Thank goodness your power returned, but dinner out is always fun.

Yes, I did not envy the running around. Of course if you get to do it while with hubby it is much better. We had a nice meal, tried a new place.

We went out to dinner too which was nice and also unexpected. Our friends asked us to go out with them to help celebrate their wedding anniversary.
